The "first and last Belmont" quote was obviously intended as a tease. Don't get why people thought he was trying to be clever. And if his response to Son of Belmont was any indication people need to stop jumping the gun about Gabriel being the only Belmont.

with the "first and last Belmont" thing, my guess is that he is the first Belmont, has a son and starts the bloodline, but because Gabriel becomes immortal he out lives each of the members of his bloodline.

Maybe his son, grandson, great-grandson, etc. will fight Gabriel in future games, but Gabriel always returns because he is Dracula. That is my guess.

Finally, LOGIC! This actually sounds like Castlevania. Now lets just hope this is actually the case with what MS's intent is.
I now Prossess a what?

I have a question. Has anyone on the development team actually stated that Gabriel becomes Dracula, or are we going exclusively on the fact that Gabriel refers to himself as 'Dracul' in the post-credit cinema?

If it is the latter, then how do we reconcile that, historically, Dracul is Dracula's father and not Dracula himself?

Well I don't know if this is a definite answer but the official artwork in the game states that he is Dracula.

Show me?

somewhere in this thread is a link to all the unlockable CA

anyway, it could be a name just to reference during the development process but that highly unlikely

That seems a bit inconsistent, but then again it could just stem from the scene in FFC's "Bram Stoker's Dracula" where Van Helsing screams out "Dracul!!" after beheading his three brides and flinging their heads into a ravine.

The concept artwork you unlock in the game labels him as Dracula.

Seeing the word "Slogra" in that game made me cry.

Honestly it made me pretty hopeful of what's to come. That model was superb.

Seeing the word "Slogra" in that game made me cry.

And the real kicker is that it didn't say "Slogra statue" or anything, just Slogra like it was part of the beastiary.

Makes me think that I will appear in the next game(or DLC) that model they had for the game can't be wasted on a dead Slogra corpse.

Indeed. Right in the balls. Slogra was blatantly used to entice the old-schoolers.
