Why would they wait until the DLC to make Lords of Shadow seem like an actual Castlevania game? Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but it really doesn't feel like Castlevania to me. Whatever. Hopefully the DLC will bring it up to speed, although it would have been cool to have more of a 'Vania feel in the original game.

The castle and the abandoned village with the scarecrows were oozing with Castlevania to me. Unfortunately, the rest of the game wasn't. It confuses me too.

I third the posts saying Slogra's name made me cry. One of many instances of bait and switch in the game.

Also this "notorious enemy" better not be a second Satan fight.

I want it to be Dracula as much as the next fan, but we all know it's gonna be Satan, only this time a full power.

the notorious enemy could be just about anyone
heck given that LOS made cornell a villain it could even be a character who was previously a protagonist, but I doubt it's Satan because Cox has said that both DLC take place before the epilogue.

I'd appreciate any number of classic bosses to be the 'notorious enemy'.
I'd love it to be Galamoth as he is definitely notorious for several reasons and has had very little game time.
However, I have so little faith in them actually doing something meaningfully cool for the hardcore fans that I expect only a rehash of the Satan battle.

This notorious enemy could definitely be anyone.  Seeing how there is some mention of a time machine, it could be Galamoth.  After all, the Galamoth soul in AoS allows Soma to recognize areas where time has stopped.  In other words, it makes him immune to time/space magic.  Given that, it is fair to assume that Galamoth has some sort of time manipulation capability (though he didn't use it in SotN).

So, if it is Galamoth, the time machine could open up a some sort of time portal where you battle Galamoth.  You may also have to use it to solve some puzzles.

If it isn't Galamoth, then who ever it is could be trapped in an inaccessible place and the only way to get there is to travel through time to open up the way.

This is all pure speculation.  I guess we will see next month.

It'd be awesome if it is Galamoth whom they're referring to, but at the same time I'll probably be disappointed by the fact that it'll just be another clumsy Titan battle.

I don't think she would be in either of these DLCs but I would like to see the LoS take on Medusa.
What a horrible night to have a curse!

I think it'll be Huey Lewis.

I'm just hoping it won't be too much of a letdown, whoever it is.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

I disagree... while I didn't like how he was implemented, the idea of satan is not bad imo. Gothic fantasy should usually have the god vs satan theme... at least that's how I always think of it.

I think it's Dracula, I remember reading somewhere from a press statement the enemy would be someone whom Castlevania fans are very familiar with.

Also, I'm not against Satan in Castlevania at all. The final battle with him was pretty fun. This new direction is already pretty retarded so there isn't that much damage left to be done at this point anyway. :P
