MS should now stop making Castlevania games forever.
You know it's not gonna happen, MS are the developers of the main series, like it, or not, get. over. it.

A Kamiya-made Castlevania would be interesting. I'd like to see that happen.

Just curious, but what exactly makes LoS the "main series?"

I haven't played Resurrection yet, but from what I saw on youtube, it could have been much better.  I do like how they inserted that quote from SotN.  I'll still buy it and play it when it comes out for PS3 on the 21st though.  What I'm wondering is, assuming we fight Gabula in the sequel, what the battle will be like.  I hope we won't get stuck with the teleport/fireball routine of the old series.  I want a knockdown drag out fight with both hand to hand combat and magic.

I'm also wondering if Gabriel and Marie had a kid.  I mean we don't know how long they were married so it's entirely possible.  Gabriel could have left him or her with the order before leaving for on his journey.  If such a child exists, I'm betting that his/her name is Adrian (keep in mind that Adrian can be a boy or girl's name).  Though my money is on a son rather than a daughter.  This would give us another Belmont and Alucard (remember his real name is Adrian in the old series) as the same person.

For what it's worth, I think the weapon used by those who go after Gabula will use a weapon made by Rinaldo.  Maybe we will actually finally see him.  I also think that this series should never have been called Castlevania.  It's a great series concept wise, but it isn't CV enough.

Rumor has it that he IS doing something for Konami.
(click to show/hide)
Nah, that's false. Hideo Kojima and Kamiya even acknowledged and Kojima said he wish the rumor was true. In regards to Kamiya and Castlevania, Kamiya's said that he doesn't think he's worthy enough to continue Castlevania. Of course, he's just meaning the original Castlevania, heh.

Not only did Gabe shatter the combat cross but he also left its fragments in the forgotten ones prison. Doesn't that mean that any future hero wishing to retrieve it would need to be a vampire? or part vampire at least?

That or the Combat Cross will not be the main vampire killer, Rinaldo is still around, he could always make a new one

Do remember it isnt named Vampire Killer, but Combat Cross. much like There was the Whip of Alchemy, and then vampire killer.

Or the Hunter's Whip Graves uses, or Even the Holy Whip used by Julius' Belmont's apprentice in the DoS novel sequel. (would kill for a translation of that)

We have yet to see Rinaldo, but have been told that he is still around, in the guise of an old beggar. Some of the order have even seen him. its entirely possible for him to encounter the new hero and create or present to him a new whip, one which would later become known as Vampire killer, presumably for killing Gabriel. Either that or be tailor made specifically FOR killing Gabriel and or any vampires.

Now guys saying shit about MS.

Do remember Cox said he doesnt want to be the new "castlevania guy" like IGA was. Meaning if we get any more games from them, Im not expecting THAT many. at least not as many as IGA. I will say as a liberal estimate, 3-4 more, tops.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

Is anyone else wondering what the hell that fallen knight scroll means, "He who is valiant and pure of spirit may find his destiny in the maws of the Beast of Aaargh," then it says if it's an actual beast or the knight died before he finished writing it. hmmmm
