I gotta say... I do love me some nice Castle Keep stairs.  If it's Dracula's Castle, it should have 'em.

Even though it's old, I love the bloodsplosion in that shot.

Looking at all the info we have, I'd say my main worry is that LoS will be too much fantasy and not enough horror. I don't want to judge too harshly by the less than three minutes of actual game we've seen, though.

That seems to be a lot of our worries. Though, for the most part, most of the recent screens to be released are pretty much CV-esque looking. I kinda got a bit worried when we saw the magical forest a while back(with the area where there's green fairy dust in the air). As long as there isn't characters named Loegrimm and Ungthar Longtooth, I'm fine.

And hell, it's just a thought, but since we are on the fantasy thing, a reboot of the classic Acclaim's Wizards & Warriors series would be kick ass. THAT would be more fitting for an enchanted forest, ogres and such. Seeing Kuros, all badass, killing giant skull and spider bosses! Hearing a remix of that potion song! Someone should get the rights to do THAT one!

EDIT: And as for stairs:

The Castle from the trailer and the concept art looks very creepy IMO, dark, gothic, not friendly, no light, lots of thunders and storms, that's enough for me, still, I want to see more ;D damn, waiting is unhealty :P

Yeah, I was partially reassured by that castle and the homage to Rondo in the warg howling near the end of the first trailer.

Now THAT is a franchise you never hear about these days. I remember being kinda obsessed with the first game, dunno why. The hit detection was a joke, the level design incredibly random and the jumps so floaty it almost felt unplayable at times. Ironsword in particular stands out as the worst of the trilogy in my opinion. There's something profoundly WRONG with it. Of course, back in the day, I never thought about these things and played the hell out of it anyway. Compared to, say, Castlevania and Ghosts'n Goblins, W&W hasn't aged very well but I'd love to see a new one just because it played a huge part of my childhood.

Now, where were we? ....oh yes, LoS..

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but Mirichu Yamane reportedly left Konami this week. Was she doing the LoS score? If so, looks like we'll get a new composer for the game, depending on how much of it was completed. Again, sorry if this is old news.

Oscar Araujo is working on LoS from the beginning. Also - Michiru Yamane left Konami 5.15.2008 (according to her website - www.yamanemichiru.com).

Although she's no longer employed at Konami, I'm sure they'll ask her to contribute to a future game or 2.

She's been gone almost 2 years? I didn't know that. The twitter post made it sound like she just left this week.

i think it would be a good idea is they released Lament of Innocence on the PS3 as a downloadable maybe 5 months before they release LoS.  playing it again is getting me fired up for the new game, but it's a pain to have to drag out the old PS2 and deal with the wired controller and play it on the HD screen without upconverted graphics.

How did you ever survive prior to 3 years ago?

Dave Cox just wrote "What is a man?" on twitter.  :o
I wonder if he's giving away little hints or if he just wants to know what a man is, y'know, in general.  ;D

It's not much of a hint though, but my twisted mind tells me that he's meaning to tell us that Dracula is indeed in the game, which I kinda expect anyway.

(The lack of new info is making me grasp for straws.)
