Both are great consoles, but PS3 is the lead platform for the game, if you hace both, buy that version, if you dont gave any, IDK, it's a hard choice :)

I gotta admit this thing is looking better and better every time they release a new video.
I see what you did there.

* manadatory install notwithstanding

If you're looking to buy a new console you’re in a very lucky position where you can hear opinions, as the game comes out, as to which is the best version and roll with it.  PS3 as lead platform is no guarantee you'll get a better game on PS3, it just seems to be easier this way for the developer to port it to Xbox360 rather than the other way around (although the PS3 version should be damn good and what difference there are should be relatively minor).

Basically, you can get every "exclusive" 360 title on your PC with better everything. The only game you won't get on your PC is the Halo franchise. If you want a more reliable system that has a significantly less chance of breaking down, and making giant ring scratches on your $60 game disks, then go with the PS3. I have a friend that had his 360 break 8 times on him. No thank you.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow sucks

I've had my PS3 for over 2 years now, never had any problems with it, and the Blu-Ray player is a great addition. All my friends who have 360's have had to send theirs back several times, so that probably what anyone has to deal with if they're going to get a 360.

Also, I like the PS3 controller a lot better, it feels so much better to play than with an XBox controller
What a horrible night to have a curse!

I've had my 360 for more than a year and no sings of RROD, it could be luck, who knows?
All the discussion comes to a point where only exclusives matter anyway, like Gears? Halo? Fable? Natal? buy 360, like Uncharted? God of War? Move? buy PS3, I think that's all :P

I've had my XB360 since 2007 and I've never had any problems with it. None of my friends have had any problems either. I have no idea what people are talking about really. I also have a PS3 and I'm thinking about getting LoS for it just to mix things up. I have a LOT of 360 games, but not so many PS3 games yet. I want more! Anyway, I love all my consoles so I'm just waiting to see if there are any frame rate issues on any version. I hate frame rate issues.

I'm gonna go ahead and be a smart-ass, but no offense intended, Nagumo.
However...
"PS3 if [you're] smart. ;)"

Moving on...
I do dig God of War, and Ninja Gaiden 2 is also available here, so I think I'll go with PS3.
Now I just have to bust my ass and get some cash.
Thanks for all the input guys! ^_^

My 360 has scratched a bunch of my disks over the past years. There was an experiment done that had people play brand new games for a large period of time, all of the consoles were undisturbed, and when they check the disks after a few hours, some of them had the large ring scratched into them. So no, it doesn't happen only to idiots. Look it up before you say something stupid.

Soooo to get back on topic...one of the articles posted a page or 2 back listed the release date as Sept 24. How accurate could this be? Will there be a FIRM and FINAL release date announced at E3???
*I'm not a newbie...I had several hundred posts with this screenname on the old board*

Unless that just says something about you. I've never experienced such an effect. That says something about me, I suppose.

On topic bottom line;

Getting a PS3? Not as good network service, but its free (free for now at least). Make sure you can find the version of the PS3 that you want, as features and price vary from model to model. Standard PS controller, but the triggers feel a little odd/short, and the analog stick seems to discomfort some people due to its lower position.

Getting a 360? Better network service, but you have to pay. Don't bother with anything but the standard package and above. Comfortable solid controller, but the d-pad is basically a random direction generator.

Did you even read my post?

"Prompted by consumer reaction to its February 2007 report, Kassa performed several tests with Xbox 360 units from consumers who claimed their Xbox had the problem. Kassa stabilized these consoles and positioned them at a location remote from contact by anyone. The results of the laboratory conditions test revealed that one of the nine tested Xbox 360 units had spontaneously scratched a disc after five hours of gaming."

So yes, it happens to your Xbox even if you don't touch it. The PS3 is a much more reliable system, although I do agree the online features of the Xbox are superior.
