Yeah, as there weren't Cornell or Carmilla in there...

But clearly they are not the same characters. It's a throw back man. Simons theme is purely for the fans. So no one else will give a shit.

This.

And they don't have to explain anything to anyone. It's clearly a throwback and for the fans. People new to the series will come to appreciate it later. Just because his theme is in it doesn't mean he has to be in it. Just because a movie has orchestrated music in it doesn't mean the orchestra has to show up somewhere in the movie. That logic is kind of flawed.

I do love Simon's theme, but Vampire Killer will always make me blush like a school girl/red herring.

The two time lines don't need to connect or relate other than Belmonts want to kick Drac's ass anytime he shows up. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a future CV with Simon, but at the same time I don't need it. I want them to take as long as they need to perfect the lore, the story, and especially the music and gameplay.

I just don't like it that much. After all these years it still doesn't sound like Castlevania music to me, and I have no idea what people are talking about when they say it's one of the best ever, I just don't hear it. But yes, it IS a classic and I wouldn't wanna go back in time and erase it from existance, lol. It's not like I hate it, I just don't hear what everyone else is hearing. Reincarnated Soul however, is excellent.

Have you tried listening to it while sleeping with a pair of headphones on?  ;)

Orchestral Theme of Simon sounds more exciting than those metal-ish arranges.

For me, it's an ok song. Compared to other tunes on the Super CV IV soundtrack, I feel that it is just 'ok'. It DOES have a great feel of majesty and rebirth, I think.. but I liked the darker, more brooding tunes from Super CV IV..

Dance of the Holy Scottish Man.

Um.. What?

Anyway, I loved the rearrangement of Simon's Theme in Chronicles. It's one of my favorite songs in that game, and it gives me this of sort motivation to go on and face Dracula for some reason. Lol.

Agree. Simon's theme from Chronicles is the most epic Simon's theme ever.

Um.. What?

Dance of the Holy Man is an alternate title for Simon's Theme and Robert Carlyle is Scottish.

I see. I kinda had a feeling it had something to do with that. Lol.

EDIT: New preview from VideoGamer.

Mindlessly hammering away on the attack buttons will only take you so far in Lords of Shadow; your enemies are powerful, and will take huge greedy chunks out of your health bar should you let them get too close.

Even more reason why I think this game won't be a GoW clone.  :)

I like "March of the Holy Man", but it's hardly ever, ever used.

I don't know about you all, but whenever I hear that music box Vampire Killer tune at the end of the trailer, I get the shivers.

The Castlevania series has also had a turbulent relationship with 3D, and after the travesty that was Legacy of Darkness, it seems the pair had gone their separate ways. With a little help from a certain Hideo Kojima, David Cox and the Mercury Steam team are looking to reunite the couple in the form of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

I knew LoI and CoD were unpopular games, but it's like they've been erased from history, now.

It's at the very, very end when you see the Fall 2010/In association with Kojima Productions logo and it's a completely different, slower arrangement. It took me several listens to finally pick up on it.
