Then Judgment... flopped, hard, wii is a console that sells by name, and judgment proved that CV is not a big name anymore, a venerable niche one, yes, but not a big one, and th ¡e game was sooo bad, that even a lot of us, "true fans" didn't buy it.
Excellent, Ahasverus, excellent.

You seem to love Castlevania, and you try to support the series the best you can, but too much stupid games and you're trying to get the things straight. Good spirit !
But many Castlevania fanboys discovered the saga with SOTN, COTM or DOS... so they can't understand you, because they think to love Castlevania. But actually : it's not. It's just some Iga-vania which are very different in all points with the series' best quality offered in the past . Besides, these fanboys never played games like Dracula's Curse because "it's ugly graphics", and even if they played it, they hate it and just want remakes of earlier games with easiest difficulty, more beautiful graphics, new Alucard's design and so on.

Lords of Shadow has to sell well, because of the Huge budget and financial crisis it would be for Konami if it fails. Personally, I think Castlevania has many more to offer to fans and gamers. So LOS can be either the savior for the saga, either the game which will marks the end of it. But nobody can predict what will happen to the series if LOS fails. We'll see.

If every hardcore fans buy it, then we'll have a kind of Lords of Shadow 2 or at least a "Gold Edition", as marketing rules. And new projects, in 2D and/or 3D as well.

On the contrary, if the Iga 2D fanboys decide not to buy it, and if the game fails, then you're right, it can be very difficult for Konami to continue the franchise.

But for hardcore Castlevania-fans like me, real Castlevania spirit is dead since many years so it would not make a big difference. That's just my point of view, please don't attack me you Dungeon community !
