What the hell has this thread turned into. LMAO ;D It'd be nice if MS included her and the others in a future game or DLC. Backstory is always nice.

Man, those pre-lords founders pieces are just great. Totally spot-on.

Can't wait for the DLC! I wonder if that evil that was supposedly being repressed by Carmilla has something to do with Friedrich von Frankenstein?

Hey, I think he is just saying, that is the ideal woman for him. I think the same, as far as her look and attitude in that pic. And I get out alot. You should see my girl ;) Awesome to see all the excitement on the new art and DLCs!

Based on what I read on the first DLC "Reverie" title, I suspect that it will be Frankenstein who is the evil that Carmilla was trying to contain.

P.S. I love Carmilla's human form.

Edit: I guess corneliab had the same idea I had.  Sorry, I didn't see his post.

I loved Konami's christmas card.

I hope we will see some screenshots from the DLC soon, or at least more details on what its about.

Back on topic, considering the DLC coming out in the new year, it may shed some light on Gabriel turning into a vampire.  I mean sure when he beats Satan, we see what appears to be light energy come out of Gabriel's mouth, but what was it exactly.  Most people seem to think that it was his good half ascending to heaven leaving his dark side behind, but he still seems human until after the credits.  Which means that either it takes time for the transformation to be complete or his good half didn't ascend.  Who knows what actually happened?  There's nothing to say one way or another.  I've also heard a theory that it was just his light magic leaving him.  Maybe, it's what happens when he goes back to the castle that changes him.  I think that we just have to wait and see.

That artwork is alright. It looks almost like painted comic art(mixture of both soft blending and sharp line/ink detailing). I don't see it as being a definitive style CV should aim for, but it's nice. And I do agree, Carmilla, as a human, is hot.

Castlevania's art style has been quite inconsistent over time (from gothic fake-oilpaints to bright pink dressed anime lolis). Defining the "definitive" CV style would be impossible. This artstyle however is very good at doing what it does, and that's quite an achievement.

The art style is the most gothic and elegant I've seen in the saga, it's simply breathtaking, but the best is that they actually translate what is in the artwork to gameplay, did you see thr art gallery in the game? they literally rendered the art shots into the game. Awesome.

First Reeverie's screenshots!

I think they nailed the "Castle" atmosphere this time
