Yeah, double-post, but how many people saw Gametrailers nominated LoS one of the most disappointing games of 2010?

This made me curse a bit, since before I even found out about it, God of War 3 was nominated (and won most of) the categories I thought LoS would be in. Once I saw that, I was like "Shit.....there goes that category." :\

Oh I saw that, and your not the only one who disagree's, majority of the comments(mine included.....somewhere) are saying Castlevania shouldn't be on that list.

And the fact that the game didn't even get nominated in the action adventure catagory was just odd.

I found understandable, based on what LoS had to live up to due to the CV name, not everyone would be please with the final results. LoS is a controversial game.

I agree with what the guy said about it being a good game, but it didn't live up to expectations. (the widely believed expectations, so the LoS lovers please keep that in mind before ranting)

My expectations were not met at all at first. I was honestly expecting a glorified 3D version of Super Castlevania IV, that's all I really wanted. When I saw Slogra I was hoping for Gaibon, and then a fight with Death after them, and then finally the greatest Dracula battle ever.

I like LoS though. Can't help but wish my expectations were met or will be, one day.

One of the staff members who's a hardcore Castlevania buff doesn't like Lords of Shadow. He was the one who composed the GT review of the game, and obviously has input in their GotY awards.

When I saw that the game was being totally ignored in every possible category it could be positively nominated for (outside of using a fan song based on the game in the Action category), I just knew that the reason of its omission was it was going to be nominated for Most Disappointing.

Listen to this, I just got the game for X-Mas and I'm stuck at Olrox.  The fight is not the problem, it's that damn puzzle afterward.  It's not like I don't know the solution (I have the strategy guide), it just that I keep running out of time between the second and third checkpoints.  Is there a way to bypass this puzzle?

That puzzle was so easy. Just follow the lines and take the shortest path.

I had a lot of trouble with the bloodflow as well. It's not figuring it out, it's banking the curves just right to do it in the time given. It takes a bit of practice. The only advice I can give is to start pushing in the direction of the curve just before you actually reach it.
