Well if it chaos (or the castle demon) and he defeats it honestly whats next? Granted Gabriel beat Satan but he couldn't have done it with out the power of god.
Also the ending when he shoots the laser out of his mouth is when I *think* all the holy magic left him. Just have to wait for the DLC

Gaga would make an excellent villain, especially wearing that. Though I say save her for Bayonetta 2.

It's Cthulhu!

Aw man... That would really suck for our CV heros. Seriously! When Cthulhu wakes from his resting place in that ancient sunken city of R'lyeh... Everything dies!

If you remember, Gabriel was killed by Zobek and the guantlet.  It was the trapped spirits who brought him back to life after Marie said that Gabriel would save them.  My guess is that the light that shot out of his mouth at the end were those spirits (or some sort of divine power) leaving his body.

The whole angel wings thing has no underlying significance. It was just a way of showing the player that the angelic power given to him by God for the fight (infinite magic and all that jazz) was leaving him/being used up.

I thought that too. It's funny to see the many speculations fans would come up with to explain such things. It seemed pretty basic. Though that's how fans are, tending to make a mountain out of a molehill. It's a Scrotie McBoogerballs! You kinda wonder if Cox is sitting back and wondering how hilarious it is to see his story being overanalyzed and picked apart, when maybe he just intended it to be pretty straight-forward.

I thought it was signifigant, showing Gabriel as an angel per se, who then becomes the fallen angel, in line with the old story..

The only reason that people speculate on the wings is because they appear to be black when they appear. Although Archangels HAVE been depicted as having black wings in some media, so that could merely be after all, like someone said somewhere, "His uber archangel powers leaving him". Well in any case, this is why we are getting that one DLC pack. XD to explain shit.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

Well Enric (D-Tritus) reads the boards regularly, maybe he could give us some insight into this less than subtle symbolism?

Pretty sure Cox and a couple of his comic book writing friends just worked on dialogue. The story was initially conceived by Mr. Alvarez.

I thought this was pretty self explanatory as well.
