Have you beaten the game on that file yet?
the DLC Doesn't work until all chapters are beaten

You mean I need to do the final fight again after downloading and installing it? Cuz yeah, I beat the game before I downloaded and installed the DLC.

Only to the more intolerant people.  I loved those Motorcycle Skeletons. xD

Motorcycle Skeleton Defense Force, fall in!

So I started going through this from the beginning again a while ago. When you have the benefit of skipping the cutscenes and the crappy parts (titans) it's a lot more fun!

I'm (not) sure this has been brought up before, but does anyone else notice the similarities between LoS' story and the movie Van Helsing?

Gabriel Belmont
Gabriel Van Helsing

There might be a deeper reason The Brotherhood of Light named him Gabriel.
Van Helsing is the "Left Hand of God" (I'm assuming this means the archangel Gabriel).

Van Helsing has amnesia.
Gabriel has amnesia (although he doesn't know what he forgot until it is revealed to him).

The dead can't enter heaven due to a spell.
The Valerious family can't enter heaven until they've killed Dracula.

The chick / love interest dies at the end.
The wife's ghost disappears and goes to heaven.

The batty vampires of LoS look as if copied from Van Helsing.
The snowy village landscape and the castle have similarities.

I'm sure there's more, but these immediately sprung to mind.

This has been brought up multiple times throughout this thread so yeah we've noticed.

Also I been playing the game again and I noticed something cool, during the battle with Carmilla if you go torwards the big mirror you can see the reflection of Gabriel but not the vampires or Carmilla.

I thought it was nice attention to detail to the vampire mythos of them not having reflections.

That effect is also in Dawn of Sorrow; Alucard doesn't have a reflection when you run past mirrors.

From Van Helsing, PS2

I implore everyone here to buy one of these:

I have this on my keychain and ever since I bought it, i've been getting compliments & inquiries left & right from everyone I know and don't know! Even some girls ask me about it, "why is that cross on your keys so sharp??" so it's also a chick magnet  :-*  Little did anyone know that it's a relic from the CASTLEVANIA series lol. It's made of metal so it won't break off. It's identical to the last detail & very sharp, i stabbed my coworker with it & it pierced his skin with no remorse. I think it's cool to have & should've been included with the collector's edition. only downside, KEEP OUT OF REACH FROM SMALL CHILDREN!

Was it deserving or accidental?

Bought that key-chain a few months ago, and made it into a necklace. I get a lot of compliments about it as well.
