Topic: Eventually, Konami will make a Castlevania first person shooter!

and no I don't mean those rail shooters like the one for CV with the whip sensor.

I mean a real CV FPS for consoles.  just imagine, it would be great!   in multiplayer, players can choose their favorite Castlevania character skin from any game!

and their melee weapon can be whips, staffs, etc!

the guns could be based on the subweapons from CV games,
as well as magic spells.   and it could have great graphics like the upcoming Alien vs. Predator and Rainbow Six.

and there could also be team based modes, like vampire hunters vs. monsters.   

and the MP maps can take place in various parts of the castle,  and 3-D version of a CV2 town,  iconic locations
like the forest in CoD,   and even a chibi version of the Belmont village!     

it would make tons of sales because people are already sick of CoD10 and Halo.  so CV can revolutionize FPS play!

also the main campaign could support co-op like Serious Sam
does. 

and yes there would be jump button.

well, if they made a rail shooter, there's no reason to not think they would do a FPS. 

I insist that any first person game also have the option to change it to third person though.  I LOVED being able to look through Reinhardt/Carrie/Cornell/Henry's eyes in the N64 games and really wish that I could have played the game like that for a while, but I wouldn't want the whole game to be like that.

Yep, I like the first person perspective idea, but only one of the characters should have a gun like in The Arcade, Legacy of Darkness, and Order of Ecclesia.

That would be the end of castlevania. What use would guns do you anyway? I don't think drac cares about metal bullets.

the S in FPS doesnt always have to mean Shooter... FPS generally refers more to style of view than the action takin place
