Well, a whole bunch of sound effects are different. Also, isn't the end music new?

Is it true they changed the dialog for the opening sequence of Drac vs. Richter?

Because if they did....I'll be sorely disappointed.

Yes, they did. And no, the classic dialogue save "You steal mens souls" is completely redone.

Oh dear god why? I know it was some of the worst VG dialog ever, but that's what made it unique and classic!

Stop screwing with things!

PErsonally, I prefer the new voices.  I love the new opening between Richter andDracula.  Love the use of the word, "Cesspit."

RoB:
-More cutscenes
-Like the SNES version, if you don't save Annette, you have to fight her.
-If you do, extra fight with Dracula
-Boss intros
-Alternate Level 5 = Just as hard as the original, if not a little worse.
-You have to find original ROB & SOTN to unlock them in the stages, not just beat the game. (It's fun honestly.)

SOTN-
-Dialogue change.

i hate it:(
and got alucard sounding like a punk kid makes me mad as hell i'd like to put iga on a damn pike!
they didn't like the chezey voices in sotn but then they put in worst ones.lol
well ricther was the worst voice so i don't mind to much with him ::)
but drac/death/maria/and alucard vocies were very good IMO

i loved the way alucard talked sure his lines could have been better to make it sound less chezey.
but the voice it self was the greatest ;D
but these don't improve nothing, but i'm still going to play it hoping to find new things :P
and i hate the way they made it in a window as well:(
like the screen isn't small enough ::)
i know they had to use boarders because of wide screen but they could have made the screen bigger easily oh well hope someone will do a hack and put the old voices back in one day ;D
don't even like the new sound effects as much as the old ones.lol
but it don't matter that much still have the best ver my psx one ;D

You can find the orig. rondo on stage 4'.
The part where you find a bomb and you jump on top the two spike platforms to get to the candle.

In the orig rondo.
title name is changed to Castlevania Rondo of blood.
intro is the same as dxc only that its a bit slowed down?
VA are the same from dxc

and thats all I know even though I have the X-X!''Q code on the orig. game..

This was supposed to happen in the original release, but either something was wrong with it, or it was disabled at the last minute along with some of the other stuff that got cut, like Maria mode. The priest had voice tracks in the XA audio. One of them said something akin to "Rest here my son, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." This is why the confessional used a MIDI track instead of XA BGM (note that PSX SotN can't play XA music at the same time since the voices are also XA tracks ;)

Doesn't the original jp release also have the priest talking? It could be usa censorship.

There's confirmation of "new" stuff now;

-Maria playable/fightable.
-New script translation and voice actors.
-Japanese only familiars reincluded.
-New ending theme.

And that's about it.  New equipment/enemies/items were LIES LIES LIES as suspected.
