How about a Castlevania: Vampire Killer ReBirth?

The Adventure ReBirth really pretty much covers both Adventure and Belmont's Revenge (other than the plot of the second title).  Making a BR ReBirth would be nice, but it could be pretty much the same thing.

A title that could mix things up a bit would be a Vampire Killer ReBirth.  The mechanics would be much different than a GB ReBirth title.  Each level would be a giant puzzle (even more so than Adventure with all its keys).  There's all sorts of items that they could bring back.  But the main difference between this and a standard Castleroid's  Simon's Quest inventory is that all the stuff you find is only temporary.  You lose all your stuff if you lose a life.  One thing that could be fun is if they added a random stage "puzzle" generator (I'm thinking like Dark Cloud) so it's not the same thing every time you play through.

VK is a title that needs a ReBirth and it could be a direct sequel to the Adventure title, since it take place during Drac's next resurrection.

I'm game for it. I love Vampire Killers.

On a side note, if it's before Super Metroid please don't brand it Castlvainroid.

What about a decent big castlevania game instead of cheap easy-to-make ever good 2D castlevania? That's my guess.
Seriously, the saga is great at 2D and portable things, but it's still the easy way, make a "simply fun" game with castlevania slapped on the tittle. It will sell, it will get good reviews, but theres no challenge, no surprise.
I really liked the rebirth, but I would like the most a new game to HD consoles (Or wii if it's 2D like muramasa  :o )in whatever format, if it's a good new concept, that would engage us until the end, without knowing, exactly, what will happen -both, in gameplay and storytelling- :)

Everything comes full circle

Vampire Killer is good and all but there are other games that deserve remakes first. Dracula's Curse and Simon;s Quest for starters
What a horrible night to have a curse!

Yeah it would be nice if the towns people made sense in Simon Quest. I'd be for that.

I consider Order of Ecclesia a spiritual successor to Simon's Quest, so my need for a "remake" of that game is satisfied.

Yeah I felt Order of Ecclesia was similar to Simon Quest.  Simon Quest will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the first video game I ever beat. I never really understood people complaints about it. That game has been second nature to me. I know how to beat it off the top of my head to this day. When I saw the Angry Video Game Nerd bashing it, made me aware of people disdain for it. Thinking back it would be hard to beat without somebody telling me what to do. So if the town’s people really did give you helpful hints that would be an improvement.

Ahasverus makes a good point. Hopefully, they'll focus on making Lords of Shadow the best it can be. This is probably the explanation for the Rebirth title that Japan just got. Honestly though, I'll just be happy to see another 2-D CV. Hopefully in the future they'll continue to release more smaller CV games over wii-shop to pacify fans until the next "big" CV is released.

I won't really care for a CV: Vampire Killer Rebirth.  Don't get me wrong, The Adventure Rebirth was done well, but I don't really see the point in doing it.  The only kind of "Rebirth" I would like to see is a CV3 re-birth.  However, when I say a re-birth, I mean a different version of the game.  Same storyline, but with different game play.  For example, CV3.  If I were to create a re-birth of it, I would do the following:

1) Turn it into a 3D game
2) Keep the stage-by-stage format
3) Institute a "Stage Select" feature like in RoB so that you could go back and revisit stages to do things you haven't already done
4) Add in collectable items like in DXC, but have a checklist to keep track of what you have done
5) Abolish switching characters in the middle of a stage and instead create different modes (one for each of the heros unlockable by having Trevor met them)
6) Remix the music from the original CV3 and add other songs for the stages

I think that such a game is a "True Re-Birth" and would be a big hit.  Of course, it would likely be for one of the newer consoles.
Behold my power and tremble
