*cough!* IGA *cough!* I know we're not supposed to IGA bash but it all fits at about the same time he took over production of the series. The only woman we didn't mind killing was Medusa. Cause if you didn't kill her first then you were turned to stone and presented at the CV marble gallery.

When news of Igarashi-sama brutally whipping Yamane and Kojima-san for shits n' giggles surfaces, I'll agree with you two.

Couldn't be more right.

We're all thinkin' it, I'm just sayin' it...

We need a PoR homebrew!

PoR sucked. The only one of the 3 DS CV's to not win an Editor's Choice at GameSpy.

BTW, the only Belmonts with Wives (or Wive-to-be's) are Juste, Ralph and Richter. The rest, I have no idea how they have children. Yet the clan continues. What the fuck, IGA?

. . . . Mm'kay, while anyone else out there is thinkin' it I'm gonna' go ahead and say it. You do realize that one does not have to be married to have children, right?

PoR was great in that you could play with a variety of whips again, but if you didn't like whips, you could pretend you were Alucard.

Other Belmonts have wives if you look at non-canon sources, such as Haunted Castle or the Simon's Quest children's novel for Simon and the Belmont Legacy for Christopher (Lydie for Juste is just speculation).  I wonder if Julius gets a wife in that novel they made??

Belmonts should really make sure they take the time to have children first before venturing into the castle though, just in case...  But I suppose if they fail, their kids are as good as dead anyways.

Hey Felix you forgot about Haunted castle. Simon was just married at the intro of the game. at the end of the game the happy couple are watching Dracula's castle sink into the ground. Simon married a woman with blond hair and blue eyes. I think he must have a thing for california girls...  ;)

There was this one time I was playing Symphony of the Night--I was probably slicing up some Venus Weeds with the Crissaegrim--and I suddenly thought, "...when did CastleVania become about brutality against women?"
Considering the amount of male monsters you cleave through dwarves that of female monsters, I don't see anything wrong with what IGA did. Equal opportunity, no? Hey, if you're workin' for the Dark Lord, male or female, the Vampire Killer whip chooses no favors as far as the sexes are concerned. All who align themselves with darkness feel's thy wrath!  ;D

True enough. But the only sexual equality I want to see is on the heros side of CV. no more women playing the sidekick. It's getting old. I wanna see women as the main characters. Like with OoE but with Belmonts instead of dracula-killing first timers (which shouldn't be possible cause it messes with what's been established.) okay I'm ranting again. Back to the Belmont Wives, yo!

I'd actualy like to see Dracula try to ressurect himself via woman's body.

Dracula: "Ahh... yes my servents! I have returned your grand and glorio... w-wait? Why do I have breasts!?"

Shaft: "Sorry my lord, we ran out of evil young males a decade ago. On the bright side, the Shaft digs them baby!"

Dracula: "..."

LOL

You know what, a female equivilent of Dracula as the main Villain would be a pretty cool idea.

Well there is Carmilla and Elizabeth Bartley..
To have one of them with greater roles would be awsome.
Carmilla have been used a number of times, but have not gotten any bigger part. And Elizabeth Bartley I'm not so sure how much she have been in.

Castlevania Resurrection was going to have a female Dracula (The Countess, possibly Elizabeth Bartley, but we don't know, she was dubbed Dracula's lover, which would be odd for his niece, but vampires probably don't care about such things) that would team up with the male Dracula.  This would make it an even fight for a female and male Belmont.
