I hate the RE movies Anderson made.
I hope he never gets a chance to fuck with CV.
I read an early draft of the original script and it was a garbage retelling of CV1 with scenes practically ripped out of BrSt's Dracula.
For fuck's sake he turned Simon's GF into a Dracula clone and made Simon into Elizabetha/Mina.
"Stuff and things."

You guys are thinking of 3D in the wrong way. If it's 3D it's not going to be in the way the movies are. It's going to be an illusion caused by the position of the player. It will LOOK just as much like it's popping out, but not quite in the same "paw at the air" way.
Go. Set Forth! Both your own life and hers are at stake.

I don't know if the future in gaming is 3D effects though. Nintendo has failed miserably in the past with their "innovations". Just because the DS and the Wii are mighty successfull doesn't mean the 3DS will be a hit. I do however think that the Nintendo name is probably stronger today than it ever was, but there's no guarantee here. After the extremely successfull SNES they gave us Virtual Boy and the N64 - not the most popular consoles ever, to put it mildly. The Virtual Boy failed cause it was just... wrong. The N64 probably would've benefitted from not being delayed over and over, giving gamers no other choice but to turn to Sony. Not to mention the gaming companies (Square anyone?).

Anyway, I laughed at both the DS and the Wii when I first heard of them, and I was totally wrong... So maybe this 3DS is more than just a gimmick.
