http://rapidshare.com/files/372764989/Castlevania_TheBloodstainedSypmhony.zipWay back in 2006, I was contacted to write the original score for a fan-developed Castlevania game. The game looked incredible for a fan game, with graphics that rivaled Symphony of the Night and a promising storyline and gameplay. Unfortunately, the game was never completed but still lives on in the memories of the Castlevania community.
I only released a couple of tracks from the soundtrack to give the fans a taste of what the music would be like. The sampler soundtrack was very well received, and gave me an extra boost to keep writing new tracks. When the project was cancelled, I ceased writing any more music and abandoned it. However, over the years I would revisit and try to write new music, for a now non-existent game. I relied on my imagination to think of what levels there would be, bosses, events, etc in order to compose the rest of the soundtrack.
Four years later, in 2010, I have completed the score. The soundtrack contains 18 tracks of all-original compositions (with the exception of one boss theme). The style is very similar to Michiru Yamane, with the instrumentation resembling that of Curse of Darkness and Symphony of the Night. Rock, techno, orchestral, and hybrid pieces are just some of the musical styles I explored in writing the score.
I am personally sharing this soundtrack to all of you- fans of Castlevania, Michiru Yamane, and video game music in general. I do hope you take the time to listen to the full soundtrack, and I would greatly appreciate any comments.
Sincerely,
Geoffrey Gunn
