General reception has been much more positive than I would have expected. Still low, but.

So many Summer of XBLA games and other game releases this summer would have killed to be on that poll and get that many votes and recognition!   It only appears small because we compare its votes to the other games a part of franchises that are established phenomenons in the gaming industry over the years, especially starcraft.  ^^;
but it still has proven to be a game that is one of the most anticipated this season!  It's really an accomplishment in itself being popular and anticipated enough to be included in a poll on a extremely visited website.   And the votes keep on growing!    And that's just a fraction of what a complete worldwide count of people really looking forward to buying it would be like.

but people always love 2D castlevania, even blindingly so. i mean, not enough to get ridiculous sales, but enough that it garners a good reputation no matter what.

at 1:15, after they close the dashboard window, a gameplay window opens that displays one bar of text surrounded by what seems to be 8 bars around it.   The text or images are unreadable so it's tricky to determine what that exactly is.  But since that player seems to be using Jonathan, maybe that is some kind of shortcut to switch subweapons?

nice find, that was well hidden.  it does remind me of the "orb select"/"relic select" system from Lament of Innocence that was used to select orb/relics by flicking the analog button in a certain direction.  it does seem to be an alternate way of equipping items rather than going to an "equip spot" and using a menu.  wonder what sort of things it would allow you to equip.

Some think July 28 is the date, but some say that is just a wiki rumor.  But wiki has been known to also post accurate release dates for games in the past (even though anyone can change it.)

For now, there's really no clear answer if it will be released this July, but it would be wonderful, because many of us oh so hate it when our most anticipated game ends up being one of the last ones released.  -.-;

I will be sure to get MS points cards at least a week before Summer of Arcade officially begins (which I think is the 21st or 28th.)
