Yay?

I make sure to upload some videos as soon as they pop up at Nico Nico Douga. Although this might not be so exciting news I'm still glad this thing comes out. Proves that Japanese Castlevania is not dead.

Kiyuhito posted some magazine scans on his wiki blog:
http://castlevania.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Kiyuhito/Pachi-Slot:_Akumajo_Dracula_II

Characters confirmed are:
Trevor
Dracula
Zead
Succubus
A new female character with a tattoo on her shoulder (could it be a glyph!??  it appears in one image, but not another)
Angela

I'm expecting this to be provide a great treasure trove of artwork and videos like the last one, even if I can't play it and it's not a "real" Castlevania game.

Trevor appears to be protecting the Succubus from Dracula.  I wonder why??

I took a guess and added "2" to Pachislot's official web page address and sure enough found a home page for the new game.  It appears to be a simple page with a date on it.  Does anyone know what date that says?  I wonder if it's the release data or the date they'll make a "real" web page for it?

hagai jime. The right and left image is not necessarily continuous.
Information is still insufficient now.

oh right.  it still "appeared" that way at first glance.  but yeah.  he could be defending her against another vampire hunter for some reason.  maybe he is under her spell and believes she is someone else?  its fun to just speculate.

someone posted on the wiki that the new character was "Amelia Danasty" and was Grant's sister according to the article.  wow.  if we know that much already about her, maybe they'll actually put a little story into this one.  it's bugged me that all i can do is speculate about who Angela is or what time period these games take place in (is it even a non-canon sequel to Curse of Darkness or is it just a rewrite of everything?)  I wonder if my speculation about Angela being Sypha's sister (assuming she had any sisters or cousins even that survived the family massacre somehow) turns to be true.  Of course, considering how much Angela and Amelia look alike, she might just as well be Grant's sister as well.

Yeah! Another silly spin-off with zero seriousness and relevance! With the most ridiculous things from japanease culture (Dark porn dancers FTW) and a way to poke at the saga that once was majestuous!
That's what I call a  living saga!

Gambling is pretty big in Japan. Those pachislots games are probably little goldmines for Konami.
