Well not necessarily my favorite CV, I absolutely love Belmont's revenge. I was trying to come up with the reason. The gameplay is good but combat isn't quitttteee as solid is as the nes vanias, but hot damn, it has some of the most creative levels out of ANY classicvania. I would LOVE to see it get a proper remake. Also, by far one of the best soundtracks. I plugged in my nice headphones to a gameboy pocket and just let the tracks go. It was an incredible experience. Does anyone else have as fond feelings for it as I? It often seems to go unappreciated.

I've been saying this for years, especially when the first Chronicles came out. Christopher's story NEEDS a just and proper remake, and sorry, but CV Adventure Rebirth just dosen't cut it IMHO. A nice throwback, yes, but just not the same.

I would LLOOOVVEEEE if they were to make a CONSOLE Chronicles game of the CV Adventure and Belmont's Revenge, roll them up into 1 huge game and release it. Christopher is one of the most badass Belmont's and he never got the credit he deserved IMHO. Combine his 2 games into one, release it as part of the Chronicles series, and that would be awesome!

Seriously. This guy doesn't just have to take down dracula, he needs to rescue/fight his son. What a badass.

Belmont's Revenge is an awesome sequel, it's in my Top 5. I think that if it were to be remade, they'll reuse stuff from ReBirth which will no doubt piss off a lot of fans here (not including myself). I feel the game is near-perfect the way it is. Anyone ever play it via Super Game Boy?

I wonder whatever happened to Soleiyu's "practice" whip..

I love it too. I like both of the Chris games. I have some hacks of both to make him move faster more like the other CVs and to not have the whip downgrade in the first one... very awesome

Of the 3 Game Boy games, I feel like Belmont's Revenge has the most interesting and dynamic soundtrack. :)
It's also, unfortunately, the most tampered with by Konami. But that's another story for the restoration thread...

It's one of my favorites. I like it a lot more than most of the console games even. I ADORE the soundtrack. It's cool having that foreboding prelude song to the boss fights. The level design is great as well.

I think exactly the same, I think a great Chris game could have the two games into one, perhaps starting with the last stage of the CVA a la SOTN and starting the dramatic BR story from there :)

Everything comes full circle
