It's typical for most Japanese oriented games to have feminine looking protagonists today, but sometimes I really do feel like Japan takes it a  little too far sometimes.

Simon's design from Chronicles and Judgment is absolutely horrible, he looks like some kind of BDSM bondage slave or something. Simon's canon look to me is always going to be the Conan look a like from Castlevania NES or his armor from Super Castlevania IV. Personally, SCIV was the best look for Simon.

I don't think the "shemale" comment is uncalled for. I think it's spot on. There's a difference between "macho men" and "guys that don't look like they have disproportionately small female heads on male bodies", and I'm honestly not very surprised that some folks don't see it. Apparently every male character who doesn't look like a female is some sort of beefcake macho stereotype.  :

I kind of meant to say as far as Kojima's Belmonts go, so Chris is pretty lucky to not have gotten a prettyboy makeover from her to say the very least. But I'm still bothered that he hasn't gotten any updated artwork. Poor Chris. He's so underrated. :/

Personally I prefer classic Belmonts depiction.

I hope the demo is not the E3 demo. I've been watching the videos of it like 1000000000 times already, lol. But if it turns out to be the exact same demo I guess it will be fun to actually see the rain scene on my HDTV. Is it really as impressive as people would have me believe? Cox said it's one of the things he's most proud of in the game. Actually, maybe I'll ignore the demo and wait for the real thing... I want the FULL EXPERIENCE at once.
