Hey there!
I don't know if there already is a thread about this, but I just wanted to know your favourite track from the entire series.
If there is a remix you like, say which remix=)

Also! What game do you think has the best soundtrack?

I guess it is pretty hard to decide.. I can't do it myself, hehe.

Haha, there has been a couple of million threads like this throughout the years, but it's also worth coming back to every once in a while.

Best soundtrack for me is, hands down, Curse of Darkness. Yes, I've come to that final conclusion. It's a shame I can hardly stand the actual game that goes with it. :(

My second favourite soundtrack is Symphony of the Night followed very closely by Super Castlevania 4.

Favourite track however is not in any of those games.. I would have to say it's still Reincarnated Soul from Castlevania Bloodlines. Even after all these years.

I can name a few.

New school: Ghostly Theatre, Dance of Pales (whatever Olrox's Quarters had for a song, their names are so odd I can never remember them), Garibaldi Courtyard, Invitation of a Crazed Moon, Gears Go Awry, Hard Won Nobility, Jaws of a Scorched Earth, Tragedy's Pulse.

Old School: Devil's Revival (Haunted Castle stage 2), Rock Castle song (what's it called?), Forest of Monsters, Waterfall (CV4), In the Castle (CV4), Battle of the Holy, Opus 13 (that's stage 4', right? The one with the raft section?), Sent to the Devil's Requiem, and the password theme from Bloodlines.

I'm sure I missed some.

Old school:
-The whole "Belmont's revenge soundtrack": Incredible in most ways. It's incredible such a work of art was played in a 3 simultaneus notes chipset! It was ridiculously beautiful, but in a gothic, very barroque way, it was the most classical-oriented soundtrack of all, some medieval songs were included (passpied for example) and it added sense of historical age. It's the only Cv soundtrack that plays (kinda) accordingly to the time the game is showing, half medieval, half renassaincist, obviously not in arrangements (they have the metal-japopop vibe) but in chord progressions (any academic musician will tell you that). Simply a work of art
Castlevania 2 Belmont's Revenge - Crystal Castle
Castlevania Adventure 2 (Belmont's Revenge) OST Track 7

IGaVanias: Possibly Garibaldi temple. It's so elegant, so misterious, and so solemn. Simply haunting, I played the level and stood right there for a while just listening to it.
Garibaldi Temple
Toccata in Blood Soaked Darkness is great too.
Castlevania: CoD OST:A Toccata Into Blood Soaked Darkness

LoS
Two words: Gabriel's-Theme. Best videogame signature song of the generation without a doubt in my book. The melancholy, the heoric undertones, the slow crescendo, and of course, the fact that it's just Simon's theme at a slower tempo, makes it my favourite in this new direction.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow Music - Belmont's Theme
Ice Titan is also remarkable (fuck that, it's the defintion of epic) it shows fear to a monolithic unknown thing, yet courage, but the overall tone is fear, that's how I feel it.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow Music - The Ice Titan
Final confrontation: it's perhaps too long for its own good, but its beggining and, ehm, "Beggining" at the end gave me literal chills when kicking Satan. I almost cried, that first fight with him was too epic, too climatic, visual striking, and hearing beginning just broke me into tears.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow Music - Final Confrontation

I can't let Carmilla out, for being an arranged version of first Dracula theme in CV1.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow Music - Carmilla

Pretty much everything Ahasversus posted and these:

Courtyard: Castlevania Lords of Shadow

Castlevania music - Wicked Child

Castlevania Circle of the Moon - Awake

And those are just the tip of the iceberg.

Curse did have some A+ music and so did lament. Hmm I still have a weak spot for HoDiss especially after hearing Jorge's remixes. Idk i can find songs I love and hate in every ost.
But a personal favorite(especially this version):
Trick Manor

and another one that I adore
OST Castlevania Portrait Of Ruin - Dance Of Sadness

Cool! I appreciate you guys posting some songs here.
Belmont's theme, ah yes! That is definitely the best song made for next gen consoles, alongside with some of the Assassins creed songs.

One of my favourites is Clock Tower from this Aria of Sorrow game
Very good song.

Also the final boss song in Circle of Moon, Proof of Blood, is definitely an epic song to fight of an epic boss! My favourite boss theme of all the games.

How you guys put the video/song in the post?

I've been really into the "Castlevania: The Arcade" soundtrack lately. All the music is so well done, and it probably has some of the best versions of classic songs.
3 of my current favorites from the game.

Castlevania: The Arcade Music Blood Relations of Heaven and Earth (From Rondo of Blood 03)

Castlevania: The Arcade Music Poison Mind (Mini-Boss 07)

Castlevania: The Arcade Music Walking on the Edge (Minotaur Battle 12)

What a horrible night to have a curse!

I think Garibaldi Courtyard and Edge of the Sky are pretty bomb.

The original rendition of Inner Quarters from Aria of Sorrow always got my mind into Castlevania...

It has a charming elegance paired with a shadowy droning. You could imagine yourself walking through an eerie castle draped in fine tapestries and treasures from around the world. There's the scent of a feast but no food in sight. It is peaceful yet there's a sense of dread and foreboding. You are alone in this place. It stirs your curiosity and your fear. You cannot leave this castle. Its hallways will go on forever.
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow - Inner Quarters

On the other end of the spectrum, original version of Ebony Wings from Order of Ecclesia was the first CV song in recent history that made me feel like my character was badass :D It makes me want to cheer Shanoa on and she tears through the last rooms of the Castle. It's cheerful, heroic, persevering, and its title rocks, she's got ebony wings now!

Does Perfect Selection: Dracula Battle count? They were produced by Konami, I think. Some of the best guitar I've ever heard.

Castlevania - Cross a Fear (hard rock)
Dracula Battle Perfect Selection - 10 Don't wait until night

More traditionally, SCIV and SotN have damn fine soundtracks.
