HeroLeon Belmont
His tragic nature made him my favourite video game character, period.
Leon started out as a knight in shining armor saving his betrothed from a certain evil vampire lord.
I always liked the whole "prince/knight in shining armor saving his damsel in distress" - trope, and Leon fits in just that.
Not only did he gave up his title and riches to save his beloved, he was betrayed by his best friend.
Being used by the only one he trust the most and having his beloved turned.
Leon didn't run away from his problems or agonize about them. He faced them head on with his head held high.
I also liked his honesty; most people would run off with any weapon their company provide for them, Leon left his behind.
Leon is also very modest, only moments after giving up his title as Baron, he treated Rinaldo as equals, I know I would still have the whole "Holier than thou" attitude if I was only recently demoted.
In my opinion, the Belmont Legacy and the birth of the Vampire Killer couldn't start out any better.
Love Leon Belmont so much!~
VillainDracula, without him, there will be no Castlevania, it's as simple as that.
