True
But it goes the other way too. I think Arikado didn't trust Soma either. With someone like Graham going around pretending he's Dracula, i think it was natural for Arikado to be suspicious about Soma . And even if he told him who he was, maybe Soma wouldn't have been able to handle the truth that well, especially if he did it in the early parts of the game.Or maybe he didn't have the time to tell him the truth. He was prolly busy chasing after Graham, looking for Julius, and the castle is big.
Also it must feel awkward to tell a kid that he's your long lost father, who happens to be Dracula  ;D

I suddenly had a thought: what happened if dracula reincarnated as a girl?

Why does he have a rose window on his throne? Whatever! If you're going to be excessive, do it classy!

Girl version of Soma: Alucard I am your father.
Alucard: But you're a girl!!!
Girl version of Soma: Details.  Details.
Alucard: I can't deal with this.  I'm going to sleep.  Wake me up when you reincarnate as a man.

You have a point.  Here's a thought: what if Mina is the reincarnation of Lisa and she regains the memories of the past life.
Mina: Adrian, I am you mother
Alucard: That's like saying that Soma is my father!!!
Mina: Well...
Alucard: Don't say it.  I know.  I can't believe this.  I really need to find a good shrink.

Wasn't there supposed to be a female version of Dracula in Resurrection? I think I remember some artwork or render.

right!

:D <33

With the 'R' and 'L' making a similar sound, 'Arikado' probably sounds similar to 'Alucadoh'. I'm guessing they did it to make it obvious who he was for the storyline.

It could be worse. He could have changed his name to Alucardio Jalapeno Montoya Montenero de conqueso mackleroy macgilicudy van funkenberger schleshelhopfer xerxes yancy nancy pansy harvard yale whale dale Dracula the second.

Also Lisa I sent you a PM.

LOL That's secretly his real name. He's like Dot from Animanics, but a lot more dramatic.

Oh man, got it! Replying now :D

I suddenly had a thought: what happened if dracula reincarnated as a girl?

>> She'd probably give the succubus a run for her money in the hotness department!

LOL although that also begs the question -- would Lisa be reborn as a man? Or would they both be women?

I would pay such good money to see that, especially if they had their memories.

Draculina: So...
Lisa: ....yeeeeah.
Draculina: ...how's um...how are things?
Lisa: ....well. First my favorite shirt shrank in the laundry, then McDonald's was out of milkshakes, then I couldn't find a parking spot outside the castle, and....damn, I know there was something else...
Draculina: ....
Lisa: ...Oh, right! You were a dude the last time I saw you.
Draculina: ...-.-;
Lisa: ...and I bet you still haven't painted the garage like I asked you to do during the crusades.
Draculina: You are just...determined not to be cool about this.
Lisa: YYYYUP.

Girl version of Soma: Alucard I am your father.
Alucard: But you're a girl!!!
Girl version of Soma: Details.  Details.

LMAO! This needs to be canon, post haste.

I thought of that immediately after I read it! She was weird looking then, but with the graphics we have now, I think she could end up really attractive.

The detail in this is amazing. I like the rose window! Then again, I'm a sucker for rose windows and stained glass regardless. Seeing him with religious imagery isn't that uncommon, so I can accept it as subtext :D I also like the wolves with the spikes coming out of their mouths, and how the bat's wings look kind of like a vaulted ceiling.

Nice render. She's creepier than Dracula XD. Her hair reminds me of the bride of Frankenstein.

Grim Reaper: 'Why's his face like that boss?'
Dracula: 'Wouldn't your face be that way if my hand was up your keister that far?'
Grim Reaper: 'Err..... y... yeah boss...' -flies away-
Soma: 'THATS why I'm so uncomfortable!?! Fuuuuu-!'
Dracula: 'Silence. We have a 5 year olds birthday to do.'
Soma: 'Rooooiiiight.... how much am I getting for this gig?'

Is that your art Flame or no? Looks like Oekikai? (spelling?)

Hopefully my bad humor doesn't make my respectotron readout go downward.

Oh yeah, that's it. It kinda makes you wonder about the storyline in Resurrection... What the heck were they going for? It seems like the game would've had two Draculas, one female and one male. Unless the female version is Dracula in disguise. Except it's a shitty disguise that wouldn't have fooled Sonia. Or maybe they had something completely different in mind. MAYBE Sonia would've faced the male Dracula, and Victor would've gone up against the female one, in their respective quests. Something like that.

One brief idea comes to mind that it might have been an element of the Bloodlines story. If I'm not badly mistaken, Bathory is linked to and or psychically controlled by dracula in that game. Which could theoretically result in her thinking she IS dracula. However, I'm not familiar with the storyline of the canceled game and therefore couldn't speculate further.
