US Budget and its importance

If you live in the USA this is really important and YOU need to know this NOW.

If the Budget isn't passed, there will be a government shutdown.

This means that...

...All government workers that are considered 'expendable' will be out of work.
...Medicaid may not pay as much or may not pay at all.
...Social Security Income may not pay as much or may not pay at all.
...Social Security Disability Income may not pay as much or may not pay at all.

Hoard your money and cut expenses out any way you can.

I hope it isn't, but this could be the drop of water that breaks a big hole in the dam.

People are getting tired of the government trying to make their checks as fat as the government people can and people are getting tired of finding out that the government tricked them again and has made their checks even smaller. People are getting tired of being stuck in a treadmill in which, unless you have money from outside, you work till you drop dead of death.

I'm not an alarmist, all I'm saying is don't be taken unawares, and if you have SSI or SSDI, realize your income could be zero for months at a time if the government doesn't make something work.

The US government will not last another ten years like this. At all. It's doomed to reform in some way or another and there's nothing they can or will do about it. I'm on the side of the people (little guy) who're sick and tired of all that clandestine BS and if they want a revolution in order to stomp out the "stupid white men", then so be it.

I find the whole 'stupid white men' thing horribly offensive. I'm both white and male.

So am I so I can get away with it. But in all honesty and no offense to you, I think the most damage has been caused by the white men and I truly believe they need to step back, see what they've done wrong and at least try to make amends. I'm a white man but I'm not proud of any of our wrong-doings. fortunately I'm not hateful enough to punch my refection in the mirror. That would just hurt.  :P

The danger in that thinking is that some ethnicity who outnumbers us greatly will latch on to the idea and simply Rwanda everybody.

'I'm tired of the white man putting me down.'
'Yeah so am I but what are we going to do about it?'
'Revolution! Stomp out the whites!'

I for one don't wish to die with a machete through my stomach. I wouldn't put it past certain ethnic leaders. The leader of the black panther party, 'king' shabazz, states quite clearly that if freedom is desired the only way to have it is to kill ALL whites, EVERYwhere, of ANY persuasion. Muslim Radical leaders openly call for destruction of America and practice Taqqiya (lying to make the religion look better / attract converts / protect the religion), to the west while they incite 'holy jihad' from behind their safe compound walls.

I think we should be pulling our troops home and cutting off aid to countries who can't (ever) repay us in any form or fashion ever period. I'm not against making loans, I'm against unconditional aid that is not expected to be repaid, especially when most of it goes straight to terrorist a-hole governments rather than the people its intended for. That being said, I'm also against not going in there and taking our money back if they decide they simply don't WANT to pay us back. I'm also against people of dual-citizenship being in ANY position in the American government. I don't care if their a STAPLE reloader, I don't want them in my government unless they are native American citizens.

My point however was not to engender a debate about what to do, that's beyond our control (unless your a CV fan sitting in the house of reps / senate!), my point was simply to make people aware of the situation at hand. I'm sure it would be an unwelcome surprise to open your mail expecting a check and simply find nothing, so I made the topic.

my point was simply to make people aware of the situation at hand.

And that's a very good thing to do. The more info we have, the better we can understand the situation and do something about it.

But are you stupid? XD

If you don't think the government as it is, is more or less screwed already... ..... I don't know what to say. I don't watch the news, or anything much and I know that things are ridiculous.... so no one else should have an excuse.

I don't make excuses. I know how messed up the government is and I know why.

Its being run by people who have been bought and payed for, either by special interest groups or corporate CEOs.

No government can survive long when it blatantly ignores the needs of the general populace in favor of the wealthy elite.

It seems we learned nothing from the french revolution. Hell, most people these days are such morons they don't know where GERMANY is. (justin beiber anyone?)

My problem isn't that the government caters to these special interests, my problem is that these special interests eat the whole damn buffet and then when the normal people get there to get some food off it not only do they find absolutely nothing at all, when they get back to their table, the food they already had is gone too!

There has never in history been so large a gap between the rich and poor after which a revolution doesn't occur. When people have to work 40-50 hours a week and then come home and have NOTHING, at all, rebellion is inevitable. When banks can take every single thing you have and then leave you in the streets to die, and get away with it, rebellion is inevitable. When anyone who tries to serve the general public in any way while in office gets blackmailed, systematically targeted, and shut completely down, rebellion is inevitable. When the government is being run by people who think that their special interest is the only one who deserves to live, F everything and everyone else, the government and society in which it happens WILL NOT survive.
