Poll

How supportive are you of Lords of Shadow DLC?

Give me Reverie and Resurrection before I KILL!
Definitely looking forward to it --hopefully it's even better than the main game.
I'll play it...  Not expecting much though.
Meh.  How much does it cost again?
Lords of Shadow was a waste --maybe if I'm REALY bored...
I'd rather be violated by a Dark Priest.

Well I didn't vote for any of those options because none applied. I'm not going insane over it, and I don't dislike the game or the idea of the DLC. I'm just patiently waiting, and hoping it will add to the already great game. Why isn't that an option? This poll is extremely biased. Anyway, soap box done.

Hopefully it'll answer some questions about the plot, and give us an awesome gameplay experience.

Smells like option 2.  Hoping for the DLC to be better than the main game doesn't necessarily mean that you have a derogatory opinion of the main game...  Unless there's something else?

Considering how the other options are put, "hopefully it's better than the main game" comes across as pretty derogatory.

Anyway, they finally posted a trailer for Reverie.

I still think it's open for interpretation, but I'll concede the issue.  Fixed, and now reads "Hopefully it's even better than the main game"  Now there's you're positive spin.  :-)

Thanks for posting the trailer BTW.

Needs a price first. Current gen pet hates of mine include DLC which contains the real ending, the nickel and diming bastards.

800 MS points/10 dollars, 2 chapters, roughly 3-4 hours long.

I'm probably going to buy it now.

Yknow, if they were to ever make a sequel to LoS, they really should make more use of the amazing art style used for the character art and all that. I was so disappointed that the regular versions in EU and US got the overly typical "rendered model cover" rather than the really cool cover using the games art style.

as for the DLC, FUUUUUUUUUUUUU

My 360 not only has only 30 MB left of memory, but I still have to connect it to the internet.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

When I heard about this DLC, I can't lie, I raged. Expecting gamers to pay extra for content that almost every other modern Castlevania has included for free? Did we pay to play as Richter in SotN? Trevor in CoD? I don't think so. For me, Lords of Shadow was over before the Carmilla fight; after that, it was only overstaying its welcome.

Do you realize no one is forcing you to buy this right? And if you didn't like LoS after Carmilla so why bother about this chapter?

Everything comes full circle

I love DLC and think its great Castlevania is getting some. Without DLC we would either have to wait for Lords of Shadow to be released after April, or not have this extra stuff at all or maybe have to wait til the sequel.  If you don't like it, don't get it, its that simple. Also DLC is great because for fighting games you can get new characters like in MvC3. I'd still be playing Smash Bros Brawl if it had new downloadable characters... I wish they would have done that!
