They should make a Castlevania fighting game! Except like, make it 3D, because 3D is what's selling these days.  And redesign the characters, because they're kinda bland.  Death Note is big. What if the Death Note guy redesigned everybody?  Awesome!  Now for a plot, um... what do you think?  Time travel? Make an original Charcater to be the real hero?

Also, Simon needs belts.

I'd like to see a 2.5D castlevania that resembles the cover art of the old games put on Xbox live or something.

What if the Death Note guy redesigned everybody?

Actually, I prefer no more Obata´s designs. I see nearly imposible that the characters would change a lot in a redesign. But, if he is going to redesign, well, make not a Mummy Grant, an effeminate Eric Lecarde, a breast-obsessed Maria... please.

For a 25th aniversary, I would like something like the Contra 4 game has. I remember for his 20th anniversary (if I not make a mistake), they put a museum, with info about everygame, including several screenshots. And, a Contra and Super C port (a Contra III and Hard Corps might be perfect). So, to a 25th Castlevania anniversary, I want a new game (Castlevania V or 1999, I don´t care much), in 2d/2.5d, please, with all NES, Snes, Genesis and Haunted Castle ports. All, for of course, 3DS (or normal DS). But, please, not an XBL or PSN download. I prefer a phisic Castlevania for a quarter of century birthday. It deserves. Oh, yeah, and please NOOOO ANIME ART!!!!!!!

Mmhh, actually, I remember for the Portrait of Ruin release, they make a special package, with music CD collection, art book, and the infamous IGA chronology. But, for me, that wasn´t enough. Maybe, if Eric and John Morris instead of Richter and Maria for 17335343th time...

Ideas...

* A 2.5D HD remake of CV 1 or 3.
* A brand NEW 2D CV for the home consoles.
* A properly developed 3D remake of CV1.

Hell, at this point....I'd settle for having DoS, PoR, and OoE added to the Wii Virtual Console. It'd be nice to play these on my big screen with a proper controller instead of having to charge up the DS everytime I want to play. :-\

Hey, I never thought of that! Why not keep Maria at loli-age (Now we've got that demographic!), but make her breast-obsessed!

And Death should be a spindly robot, too.

Make an HD remake of SOTN with a hard mode(but keep the old voice acting in) or make an HD remake of SCV4.
Those are some not bad ideas and I believe they can be done quite fast.

I just want to see a compilation of classic games including the rarities like haunted castle and vampire killer with some bonuses like interviews or making of or production sketches. Something like that would be fantstic. Put it on all platforms and it would be even better.

also a new game would be great, but for an anniversary i feel like celebrating it's history is more fun than just a new game

I wholeheartedly agree with this entire post.

Also, I'd take back all the critical comments I've made about Konami in a heartbeat if they released the beta version of Bloodlines for the 25th anniversary. No way in hell it would happen, but I can dream, I suppose.

My vote would be for a compilation that includes Castlevania, Simon's Quest, Dracula's Curse, Super Castlevania IV, Bloodlines, Rondo of Blood, and Symphony of the Night.

...or, they could just release Bloodlines on virtual console already.

With a new Castlevania game.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

Maybe, if Eric and John Morris instead of Richter and Maria for 17335343th time...

Seriously. PoR was a sequel to Bloodlines, after all. But IGA loves him some Rondo.

I have to agree with all the requests for a new Classicvania. I'm not going to kid myself into thinking Konami will make it themselves, so they should at least hire a competent developer. I'd nominate Wayforward (Contra 4), maaaaybe Vanillaware, or, hell, MercurySteam if it were 2.5D.

There's also that company that made Henry Hatsworth and that new DS game Monster Tale, but as they obviously have too much love for old games like Metroid and Castlevania, and as that choice would actually make sense, Konami would instead hire the team behind the Petz games and tout them as a famous underdog developer.

"Make Bram Stoker's Castlevania.
Edit: A.k.a: the CV adaptation of the novel."

I wouldn't call it that, but yeah I'd like to see a game that retells that story.
