I'd like them to release all the 2D Castlevania games for the PS2. Why the PS2? Because I don't have a fucking PS3.

Quote for motherfucking truth. I'm sad that there weren't more old ass game compilations for the PS2. (Though there were quite a few.)

I'd have been happy with a PS2 DXC port. What, Silent Hill Origins and Shattered Memories can get it, despite selling horribly, but DXC, despite getting Greatest Hits status, can't? What's up with that, Konami?

The DS games will look so much better on a PS2.
I know that you can play most of the classicvanias on the Wii's virtual console  Still I think the PS2  deserves to have a port of all those games, because it's a good console that had so many good titles (metal gear shadow of the colossus okami etc). But now it seems like everyone forgot about it.

in today's world of virtual consoles and virtual arcades, are they still putting together compilation sets that don't enhance the originals?

Castlevania VS Capcom ?  :o  ;D

I would eff'ing buy that in two seconds flat!!

No joke. Though it would almost certainly be Konami vs Capcom, but They would definitely put some CV characters in there. I'm guessing definitely Gabriel, with possibly Richter, Maria, and Alucard. Dracula as a possible end boss would be nice. he could have 2 forms.

How about a 3D remake of SotN.  SotN is seems to be the most liked game among fans and I think that a 3D version of it has potential.  Think of a merger between CV64/LoD, LoI, and SotN with LoS graphics.  In other words, all the SotN areas in 3D and the camera is from behind Alucard.  The areas will still have plenty of platforming and essentially the same enemies.  Combat will be similar to CV64/LoD and LoI (not arena combat like in LoS).  If executed correctly, it could eclipse the original SotN.

Konami X Namco would be cool, but it wouldn't just be Castlevania, it'd have:

Konami Man
Solid Snake
Simon Belmont
Goemon
Sparkster
James Burton
Harry Mason
Bill Rizer
Tir McDohl
Twinbee
...and since Konami owns Hudson, you'd have access to:
Master Higgins
BomberMan
Bonk
Milon

....it's nice to dream.

Yes and yes and yes.

But I'm afraid there is no studio capable of making such a thing in a flawless way, maybe Rocksteady but obviously they don't work for Konami; and of course i wouldn't give IGA a chance to destroy SOTN, nor him nor anyone else, not even Team Ninja. Hell not even MercurySteam, perhaps in 10 years but not right now.

It could be done in 2017 though, for SOTN's 10th anniversary  :)

You know what would be an interesting idea for a 3D game?  A sidestory game with Julius's exorcism business, either while he had amnesia or in between Aria and Dawn of Sorrow.  Travelling the world, fighting monsters, completing missions, and being an AWESOME OLD DUDE.

I'd buy it.

I'd thought about a game starring Arikado during his hiding and showing his work as a supernatural secret agent, dealing with his own demons and escaping from his past (and his present pursuers).

Sounds interesting.  It would in essence be another game staring Alucard (Arkado's true identity).

Yeah of course, but I find Arikado more interesting than Alucard, he has more to lose :P (I smell some Max Payne in my thoughts)
And  never said a Castlevania game, maybe a spinoff kinda Devil May Cry kinda Alan Wake kinda Castlevania for good measure.
