I agree.

Sonic Colors was indeed a worthy and awesome Sonic game.

To bad it was only for the Wii. :-[

But now us Xbox360 and PS3 owners get this! ;D

I just hope and pray that the Starlight Zone,Stardust Highway, or the Chemical Plant makes it into this game somehow.

Yea read that earlier today.

Hopefully Sega will be releasing some more stages as DLC.

^^^ That's what I hope. I'd love to see Lava Reef, Ice Cap, Starlight, Mystic Cave, and some Sonic CD levels. I wonder if the problem with Sonic CD was that it might've been too much to include the time travel gimick, though as far as this game's concerned, they could just leave that out and give us the normal, present era versions of the levels.

It'd be awesome if they had a Sonic CD level remade, and you started as either Sonic that you chose, and if you play classic Sonic, "future" signs would be present, and if modern Sonic you'd have "past" signs. You could change styles of gameplay by running fast after passing one of these signs! Modern Sonic gets the future version, and classic Sonic gets the past version. It'd be a cool little thing for the level I think.

Apperently someone has been able to hack the demo inorder to let you play as modern sonic in classic sonic stages.

As well as Classic Sonic in Modern Stages.

Classic_in_my_modern_part_dos.avi

also, they delved a bit further and found Sonic 3's elemental shields in tact and fully functional.

Colors was the best 3d sonic game EVER, and about time something that could top SA2.
Generations though, my main concern is acts, Colors had 7 acts per stage and plenty of stages, I have very high expectations on Generations to top that...
Right now 2 acts per stage and about 10 stages = 20 levels, Colors has over 60 levels

Can we talk about this now that Generations has been out for a while?

TL;DR, it's amazing. Its only fault is it's soooo short.

Played both PC and 3DS versions, really good but not worth the money when you can beat them both within 2 hours.
extra stuff is nice but doesn't amount to anything.

Anyone else played this? anyone?

I have.

Must say it did not meet my expectations. But to be fair my expectations where pretty darn high for this game lol.

Overall it was still a pretty awesome Sonic game and I loved playing through all the new redesigned levels of past.

My few gripes with it are

1.No boss battles at the end of each zone. They really did limit each of the boss battles in a major way by having them only after you beat a certain era which really only gave you 4 boss battles in all (not counting the "special" emerald bosses). That was a terrible move on their part to not have each zone have their own classic boss. After all, this game is centered around nostalgia, so why change up the boss battle style of old?

2.SUPER SONIC IS LAME. Or more like, this Super Sonic is pretty lame lol. The ring consumption is pretty darn ridiculous and if you are wanting to enjoy Super Sonic for the rest of the stage then your out of luck. It pretty much consumes 3 rings per second which really does severely limit the amount of time you can stay in Super. And when you use the boost it makes it even worse! holding down the boost for 5 seconds pretty much consumes 50 rings.  Its nothing like Sonic Colors which gave you the normal Super Sonic consumption AND infinite boost. And don't even get me started on Classic Super Sonic *facepalm*. Classic Super Sonic gains VERY little in the speed department and is basically just a longer version of the invincible Sonic powerup. Sonic Generations Super Sonic was pretty much a complete downgrade in comparison to its Sonic Colors counterpart.

3.Not enough levels. Having only 3 levels per era and only 2 zones for each made the game feel "limited". Alot of people where hoping for atleast 12 stages OR 3 acts per stage. and now it appears Sega has no plans "currently" for DLC stages in the future which relaly does suck.

But other than the things I just mentioned above, This game is trully a awesome Sonic game and I'd highly recommend it to any Sonic fans.
