The King of Fighters XIII 2nd Trailer
Any of you guys looking forward to this game? It's said to come to arcades this summer, but I really hope SNK Playmore is able to bring it to consoles! If they do though, they should at least put more than KoFXII had, like survival mode n' stuff like that and maybe even a few more characters(Heidern and/or Geese.....please?). Anyway, any of you looking forward to the release?

The KoF games have always kinda been lost on me. I'm more of a Real Bout 2 fan than anything.

That being said, I enjoyed what little I played of 2002UM and 98UM, though BlazBlue-thorough tutorials would have been nice for those games, considering all the wacky systems they have whose purpose completely elude me. It boggles my mind that it has two fewer buttons than Street Fighter, and yet I find that game way simpler to play.

This game looks gorgeous though. I NEED to see Yamazaki and Rugal in that art style. (I would also accept Heidern and Brian Battler.) My main fear with buying the game is that they'll just release a better version with more characters down the line.

2002UM or 98UM didn't have many complex systems really. I like KoF for it's simplicity, but mastering it will take some time obviously. Which is why I can't wait for 13, I love mastering new fighting games. I'd probably main Robert, K', and Shen.

Even though there's little to no chance of them happening ever, what I'd also love is Capcom vs SNK 3, a souped up version of Match of the Millennium, or an Ultimate Match version of SVC Chaos.

I want them to make a BALANCED Capcom Vs. SNK. They really deserve it, I mean the CvsSNK2 was ok but not great and the capcom characters kinda overpowered the snk characters. It's a grounded fighting game, they don't have the excuse of being "wild" and "chaotic" like MVC so there should be better balancing.

I'd be super pissed if this doesn't come out for 360/ps3. I bought XII the day it came out and own MANY King of Fighters games. Just not the 3D ones. I love KOF more than any other fighting series.

It will come out for consoles soon... SNKPlaymore is waiting for SSFIV AE DLC comes out to make it official...
But, for me... No Geese + No Rock = No buy...

Agreed. God damn, friggin Blanka and his three frame animations. WAAAOW WAAOW WAAAAOW WAAAAOW *dead*

I'd love to see CvS3 rendered in the SF4 engine though. Preferably with lots of Real Bout characters, and without the really stupid input nags that SF4 had. Many characters like Yamazaki and Franco Bash would look amazing in that graphic style. And it seems like they really try to address balance issues in SSF4, at least moreso than CvS2.

Or, if KoFXIII does well, a SvC game in that engine would be godly as well. Sort of like the SF X Tekken and vice versa deal, except I'd actually want to play both versions.

Aww come on. Geese only appears in Dream Match games like 98 and 2002 unlimited match as well as cameos(96' and XI). SNK made it clear that they have no interest of putting Rock Howard in any KoF game since they want him exclusively for Fatal Fury/Mark of the Wolves(except in KoF Max Impact). You should try to experiment more man, try finding new characters to play as. I mean people had to do that when Street Fighter 3 released, since only 2 of those characters(later being upped to 4) were the only returning cast while everyone else is new. Besides Geese and Rock don't make a full 3 person team ;)

I wanna see a crossover on KoFXIII's engine. SF4's engine would be a little too slow for the SNK characters, sure Capcom can work around Tekken but KoF requires more speed.

I'll be busy with some other games like MK9 and SSFIVAE because Terry don't make a full 3 person team w/o Geese and Rock... And yes, i know how to play other characters (like Andy, Robert, Mature, Iori, Yuri...) but i'm not intersted this time...

I just saw a few of the added characters in action and they all look really good with their new sprites. I do have a little tiny pet peve though:

....why is Maxima's hair so much....lighter?

Looks like he got some highlights. Didn't know that was in style right now.

Never really liked this design. Why does Ryo look so enraged?! Kinda like the stance he had in games such as KoF 2003 and such better.
Edit: Also it looks like Ryo has black eyes

Personally I like the way he looks in your sig the best. If I'm correct is that his 'Mr Karate' version from Battle Colosseum? He looks like 'Evil Ryo' in the KOF XII design. I like when he has gloves on better too.
