Topic: Konami E3 rumors (Castlevania?)

Yes.  Unfortunately right now Metal Gear is still Konami's prized, darling son.  Castlevania is just the red-headed stepchild.  I'm not holding my breath for anything earth-shattering regarding this series at E3.

They should make a damn CV game for Wii even if it's just a remake of CV64/Legacy. That would be nice. Use the stage layouts and revamp the game play a bit. Either that or some more 2D action on wiiware. Is there a reason they can't port a version of CVHD? Hell, even a classic remix of CVReBirth with stages & music from the original would be great. Maybe add Soleiyu as a playable character and for gods sakes don't use a Richter edit for the player sprites. Of course they're not gonna do any of that.

I think you're forgetting about Goemon and Gradius, they can't catch a break.

I'd give my left testicle for a nice HD remake of Legacy of Darkness.  But I'd definitely settle for being able to play the original on the Wii VC.  I'd finally be able to put the N64 back in storage.  As far as Harmony of Despair goes.  Hmph.  I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be able to put it on the Wii.  Maybe it has something to do with getting the MP to work on the Nintendo network?  It would be nice for all the diehard Nintendo/Castlevania fans to have access to another 2D game....even if it's largely just a "playground" game.

I think that just about every other notable Konami franchise is playing a distant 2nd (maybe even 3rd or 4th) to Metal Gear.  I love Metal Gear and all, but I'm really starting to get a little tired of seeing ALL of Konami's best efforts being put into it....and little else.  I had my fill of the series after MGS3.  4 was great too, but I wasn't excited about the series anymore by the time it came around.
