I've experienced the full bodied love of both the 360's RRoD and the PS3's YLoD. I so miss the days of the SNES...when you could literally hurl your console at the wall in anger and it STILL wouldn't kick the bucket.
As for the whole "poke Konami with messages until they make the Vania that we all want" idea....totally DOA. For one thing, I...like many long time Vania fans, have my own wish list when it comes to things I'd like to see Konami do with this franchise, and only one of them jives with this "Operation Akumajo's" mission statement. The reason why game companies tend to ignore the hardcore minority in the fanbase is for this very reason...we can't even agree on a list of demands. I don't mind the LoS saga continuing, and I don't necessarily want IGA reinstated (was he ever un-instated?) on an ignorant whim. The man did some good things for the franchise, no doubt, but I don't have any information regarding the circumstances of his departure from it or what kind of constraints he worked under vs his own incapabilities. How can I, or anyone else, arbitrarily demand he be brought back and made to produce a particular CV title? How do we even know that he WANTS to make CV games anymore???
And while I'd like to see the Demon Castle Wars game get made, I don't want it if it's going to be another effin' handheld title or if it's going to be a template clone of SotN, AoS, PoR, or OoE. If it's not going to be fresh, high powered, and drastically better than the 2D titles Konami has been shoveling out the last few years...then I'm not interested. Maybe if a talented 3rd party dev team was doing it I'd change my mind. But truthfully, I don't understand everyone's obsession with getting this game made. There's little chance it would measure up to any of our expectations. JMO. It would just be another 2D Belmont-treks-to-the-the-Dark-Spire-to-kill-Dracula title. The only thing it would have going for it would be the story (ie: cutscenes). IMO the Demon Castle Wars game would present alot more promise as a 3D title...but I know I'm probably in the minority here in thinking that.
