The reason I am going "UWHAAAAAAAAAAAA?? O_O" at all the Sonia voters:

Don't you realise that if Sonia and Alucard gave birth to Trevor then that means that not only does Trevor becomes 1/4 Vampire, but also that the entire Belmont bloodline after him would be corrupted by Alucard's vampiric blood?  The fact that Alucard remains a "good" Vampire (half-vampire rather) makes little difference, either.  To be good was a decision of his.  But by biology however, he still possesses unholy traits due to what he partly is.  This unholy being would also be passed onto Trevor as well as the rest of the Belmont bloodline, even if the unholiness is lessened with the birth of each Belmont successor.  I mean, okay, I guess it would give somewhat of a humorous explanation as to why the earliest Belmonts succeeding Sonia are unable to swim in games, but... XD

I really don't have a problem with this.  It would explain some of the weirder superpowers they appear to have, and also how they are flawed down the timeline (Richter's corruption, specifically).  Some people really have a giant ball of a problem with it, and I don't really see why this is so.

Got nothing against Leon. Sure, his hair was silly and he was pale and I would've preferred him to use his sword too, but he was still ok. LoI's story at least gives a personal reason for the Belmonts' crusade against vampires instead of just the usual "he/she's a Belmont. It's what Belmonts do". He was tried, he was tempted, but ultimately he chose to fight instead of succumbing like Mathias (or Gabriel).

Nice way to put it.

And I agree.

I think it was a great move to give a reason why the Belmonts fight Dracula.

And its a pretty damn good reason to.

Former best friend manipulates you and forces you to kill your soon to be wife and puts you through a ton of shit.

Now you have forever sworn that your family will hunt him and his minions down.

Hard to decide. Want to vote Gabe simply because of insane fighting prowess. Would rather give it to Trevor since I kick it oldschool.

As for Leon, he was certainly the more traditionally Belmont-like, but I disliked to origin story for the whip.

Im tied between Gabriel and Leon.

On one hand Gabriel has sheer power going for him and will viciously kill anything that's a threat, plus he can no sell fatal attacks that would normally kill Kratos. However he's such a depressed person (granted rightfully so) that it really doesn't fit a Belmonts character IMO, a Belmont should be strong and determind instead of emo and hopeless.
(click to show/hide)

Leon on the other hand is determind to save his loved one and while not as strong as Gabriel he can hold his own against the forces of darkness and he fit the bill of what a Belmont should be but the origins of the whip was kinda lame plus he had the nerve to ask "What is this?" when he got the whip of Alchemy IT'S A FRIGGIN WHIP EINSTEIN WHAT DO YOU THINK IT IS!?

Chris, because he gives Dracula the smackdown twice. And he's an old fogey the second time around.

...Oh, he's not on the list.

I vote Trevor.

The Sonia/Alucard stuff has always bothered me in the timeline. It's not a good point IMO.

I'd go with Gabe or Trevor.

I voted for Sonia... because I forgot Ralph = Trevor... I always liked Trevor better. But I'd like an alternate Sonia story than Leon...
