As we all know, some time ago, Castlevania 1, along with many other titles, was used to show off the 3D effects of the 3DS. It was announced soon after(I'm pretty sure) that all of these example games would see a full release as 3DS classics. There have been doubts as to the legitimacy of Castlevania's release ever happening, as it is property of Konami, not Nintendo. Well... today Nintendo 3DS Classics: Twinbee came out for download, insuring that NES era Konami games are very much a possibility.
Since next week is supposedly the 25th anniversary of Castlevania, I wonder if it could see a release next Thursday. If not, I would expect sometime in October for two reasons. One: seeing how it's a game with classic movie monsters in it, it kind of makes sense. And two: Nintendo seems to be releasing only one of the 3D Classics games per month. So actually, to get it next week is pretty unlikely.
All just speculation on my part. I think it'd be cool to get this on the anniversary though. Seeing Twinbee there gives me a renewed hope in the release of 3D Classics: Castlevania.
