1. Cole MacGrath (infamous)
Superpowers. The Fact that you Decide his Destiny is Great, but either way he's Bad-ass
2. Adol Christin (Ys Series)
Lives for the Adventure, which includes Heroic acts and being challenged by Ancient Deities and godlike adversaries.
3. Doom Marine (Doom 1 & 2, Final Doom)
The Moon, Hell, Earth, Hell. Left a trail of destruction throught all that. this is Samus Aran and John MacLane's Love Child.
4. Jack Ryan (Bioshock)
Take down countless big Daddies, Save Small Children, and Essentially Kill the Second Dr. Manhattan, in the end you Raise the Children and be more of a man than most of us...
5. Sol Badguy (Guilty gear)
Super Genius With Super Sayan-like Fighting Abilities. Did I mention he Banged I-no?

5) Pac Man dude is so bad that he chows down on his enemies after consuming a power pellet.
4) Bub and Bob stars of Bubble Bobble, they go through hell to save their girlfriends, break their bubble dragon curse, and save their island.
3) Mappy little mouse is a cop out to stop cat burglars (yes cats) from stealing valuable items. This mouse doesn't play around, he slams doors in the face of cats, as well as uses trampolines to get around. Also known to drop bells on the heads of said cats.
2) Master Higgins from Adventure Island - he's always saving his girlfriend Tina from something evil. He also possesses some of the hardest games.
1) Arthur from the GnG series - he can only take 2 hits before death, and has been known to fight even in his underwear, not to mention some of the weapons he can pick up do NOT help him.

These 5 and many more I could name could take Solid Snake or Kratos down anyday, they stand no chance against these 5 badasses.

4. Garrett, from the Thief series of games. A master of shadows.... also the master of snide remarks.

3. Doomguy. The ultimate badass. Duke's got nothing on him IMO - Duke may have the mouth, but Doomguy can fix anything .... WITH HIS HANDS. Including ripping and tearing your huge guts.

2. Batman from Arkham Asylum. What else to say.... He's the goddamn Batman.

1. Lone Wanderer/Courier - Fallout 3/New Vegas. After trudging through every part of the Wasteland, collecting huge amounts of weapons and caps, and out-talking everyone and destroying anything in sight - there is no-one in the game more hardy than you.
