BelmontVladTepes has them uploaded on his YouTube channel.
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.
^^
You are now reading this in Robert Belgrade's voice.

Then Lords of Shadow 2 just takes a big, semi-solid, smelly, pea-green dump all over everything.

I like that version of Sypha. It's much better than the Judgment redesign and, I daresay it, the original design : p
There's really nothing particularly exciting about a figure in a plain blue robe, though I don't have a problem with the original look.

This design retains enough of the character's original look while updating it and making it much more visually stimulating. We must also remember that Castlevania is a Japanese fantasy series. You take what comes along with that. And even considering that point, this design is not overly ridiculous like many of the Judgment designs.

Still, Castlevania always retains a certain dress style for characters. They might not always be QUITE era accurate, but more or less fit the bill.

But this..? All I see is a Magical Girl/Schoolgirl.

yet people complain about LoS having "fantasy" elements.

I was always under the impression it was a horror/Gothic Horror series. The IGA canon certainly is Gothic Horror, and the pachislots follow the IGA style visually. Though im pretty sure IGA himself has nothing to do with these.

Oh, dear >____>

Fantasy, as in, based on things that are not real, and are highly fanciful and even supernatural. Meaning that the world in which this story takes place in is only based on reality so much, and does not have to resemble reality or history, and can disregard practicality.

Still, Castlevania always retains a certain dress style for characters. They might not always be QUITE era accurate, but more or less fit the bill.

All I'm going to say about this is that it's not even correct. Conan in 1600s Europe? Really? S&M gear in 1600s Europe? I don't think so.

I'm not sure what I think about her design but at least she looks like someone I would actually want to mate with. Unlike anyone from Lords of Shadow. I still have nightmares about that titty summon.

Touche, but they still more or less fit the bill as something "old" as in, "not modern looking". And certainly not magical girl looking. Its simply odd that the game follows the IGA visual style, with Trevor  and Alucard and such, but then turns around and pulls out Sypha dressed like something out of a magical girl anime. It's just a slightly jarring contrast.

Then again, We cant say we are strangers to out of place fashions in Castlevania. Barbarians in the 1600's indeed. or Sonia Belmont herself.

Or the whole of Judgment? XD
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

Yeah that, though that doesnt really count. they were just going for the most outlandish they could go.

I just dislike the design because I find it visually boring. Not that CVIII had an exciting design for her either like Succy said. I don't like the color palette and it doesn't seem focused. It seems a bit dulled by how pastel everything is, barring her wand and hairbands, etc. nitpicky licky. Though I guess it's more inoffensive than bad. Most offense for me just comes from her actual role in the game.

I find the Alucard design to be the worst of them though, because it just took SoTN's and made it bad. So unlike Sypha, there's no hint of imagination.

She's dressed like an Alimonywhatever.

Hooded robe + Pastel color scheme + Open around the legs + White knee boots.  Yep, that just about validates my conspiracy theory.

If you had read my fanfic about this

http://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/index.php/topic,4394.0.html

you would already know this.

edit:  Fuck, even the hair braiding is similar.

edit 2:  FFFFFFFFUCK.  I just noticed the Aliorumnas art has the same white blouse-type thing poking out around her cleavage, too.

Alucard is wearing six belts. Two around his waist and two on each leg. Thought you would all like to know this.
