Still makes me curious to what the American pitch was(LOL, though worst case scenario, I'm thinking post-apocalypitic roughneck-type Marine badass with a cyber-charged UV whip in one hand an a pulse cannon on the other, fighting his way through bio-vampires in the ruined streets of New York City). Also, wasn't Cox unaware what the Japanese pitch was? Did he even see that Alucard video?
Though, now that I think of it, releasing a proposed "pitch" at a game show(wasn't it E3 or something) was just bad form on Konami's part, in general. You don't release pitches of games(that may not even get greenlit) to the public. It's one of those boneheaded movies some companies do. Kinda like Capcom's Darkstalker 4 reveal, which was more of a "Oh, we aren't making it, but just show us(Capcom) you want it by showing you money and we'll consider it!". It's just bad form and overall douchery.
