They're already comparing Diablo 3 to "Tortanic" (a reference to Bioware's The Old Republic, which they say was a disaster comparable to the Titanic in videogame terms) over on /v/. While I wouldn't go that far, I will say that this sort of thing is profoundly, PROFOUNDLY unprofessional and might likely hurt Blizz in the future. They said the connection problems in the beta "would not be representative of the final product." Well, it seems beta problems are what we've gotten. Who's going to trust Blizz now? Even a sterling reputation like Blizzard's can be pissed away very easily. And though d3 may be the bestselling preorder game of all time, after this experience whatever blizz's next game may be could end up being the worst. :p

There are plenty of loyal fanboys who will still fight for blizzard regardless.

Quality wise, it doesn't seem to be disappointing from what I saw in the beta. Still don't like most of their recent decisions though. Online DRM, Skill changes, UI, Stats (both of them), and now.... it's supposed length? While I don't know if it's true... I heard someone say it's already beaten? and that was like 8 hours ago. That doesn't seem long at all.

To be fair, its possible to beat Dark Souls in 2 hours as well (there are speedruns on Utube).

Finally got to play for about 4 hours before getting booted by failing servers again. Oh well. Fun game so far. ...when Blizzard lets me play it.

It's ridiculous, from what I hear. Someone really ought to get canned for this debacle. I see heads rolling pretty soon...

Nope.avi Always on DRM is not needed for this type of game IMO.

Will be sticking to Torchlight 2 and Grim Dawn.... and may well get Path Of Exile. That'll fill the Diablo shaped hole in my click-click-click life.

Yeah, but only by Asians who were most likely speedrunning it. I've got about 6 hours in the game so far, and I'm still in act 1 of 4. Granted, I like to stop and smell the roses in these games, because I don't like charging beginning to end without enjoying myself on the way there.  :-\ It's taking me longer to finish Act 1 in Diablo 3 than it does to do Act 1 in Diablo 2, if that means anything. Quality-wise, it's a really fun game. Hopefully soon they'll fix all the server issues so I can play longer individual sittings.

That's good. I don't like charging through either.

Still has a lot of things i dislike, so I'm gonna wait on this game.

It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.

You are now reading this in Robert Belgrade's voice.

Then Lords of Shadow 2 just takes a big, semi-solid, smelly, pea-green dump all over everything.

Just beat it at a friend's house. Sort of rushed through it... It was fun. Towards the end of Act 3 I started getting bored though. And Act 4 was pretty disappointing.
