I just brought that explanation up because it seems equally plausible for both series.

Anyway, going back to where this debate started, I have total proof that sunlight isn't fatal to Castlevania vampires.

That's debatable; I'd say certain events depicted in the novel are canon, but not the entire book. For instance I'm sure the CV-ized events would have Quincey giving Dracula the deathblow with the Vampire Killer, as opposed to the novel having him use a bowie knife.

Things they put in the manual don't always check out anyway. Or else we'd still be believing that the Belmonts received the Vampire Killer from this mysterious POLTERGEIST KING, lol

Not to mention the habit of the US publishers back in the day straight up pulling shit outta there asses. That's why I never trust anything in a localization until I see it in the original JP version first.
