It sure is. And another good thing about them is that they are japanese.
I hadn't thought about them until now, but they look as a very good option for Castlevania.
As good as Platinum and WayForward. I'll have them in mind from now on when thinking about future possibilities!
Now I'm tired, eternally walking... forever dying, and never stopping. I feel in sorrow, all I see is white. I’m following a blind way beneath a sad sky.

Yes, that's the first thing they have to think. RESPECT THE LEGACY. All of it, from Castlevania for the NES to Order of Eclessia.
I'd die from happiness if they make another game with Shanoa, sequel to Order of Eclessia.

Simon's Quest has been remade by Michmede in Dracula's Shadow, with a very free interpretation. He added story, levels, soundtrack...
But I consider it a masterpiece.
And I already stated numerous times my support for WayForward and Platinum if they can't make it happen that Konami Japan makes future CVs.
I just hope that, being this forum so important, someone from Konami reads it.
We are A LOT of people that want MetroidVanias and ClassicVanias to make their glorious return.

#1 - don´t live in dreams the first game that the konami will do with the original timeline with a great chance,is a remake of the first game with outstanding graphic´s (and if they bought back yamada or give it to a japanese studio, with a great Gameplay).  99% of games enterprises only look to the number of sold´s that the game will have, not to the game itself (and yes,Konami is in the way)

#2 - it´s only restructured, CV2 is one of the most precious gens, but it need to be faceted. i never understood why IGA never touched it.SAD.

#3 - it´s hard to think that the konami supervisors  will pay the astounding amount of money that these studios request to make a game that his sell´s graphic decreased over the years. we need to be more realistic.

Keep the franchise in the west, find another capable developer and continue the LOS timeline (I'm pretty sure that they are not going to close everything with LOS2). If they feel like making the games in Japan, that's ok, but don't let IGA touch them, fresh blood, no matter if it's people from the west or the east.

I'd most like something tied to the original canon, since I'm invested in the storyline expanding, but what's most important to me is that they continue making Castlevania games.  Keep them coming!

Also, ever since the DXC for the PSP, I've been craving polished versions of the older games, especially Simon's Quest which I think could be brilliant if only it was remade.  That would have me dancing on the ceiling.

Did someone just offer me some thinly-veiled reason to shill Jorge's custom Simon sprite again on this re-translated, revamped CV2 mod?

Yup! I love slot machines too.

More Castlevania games need to appear in the market. The franchise needs to make its presence felt.
