“Do not follow the VIIth Path…
do not ever dare to look back”
The angel claimed that absurd warning
and soon it flew up the skies.
Those damned words
it’d better never said
are ringing forever
in my cursed brain.
Armed with sword and golden cloak
we marched out in our magical quest.
We’d better listened to what it said
but we wouldn’t do it anyway.
“When the time comes, just run and run.
Do not stop. Do not look back”.
If she had done what the creature said
may be now she’d still be mine.
Those damned words
it’d better never said
are ringing forever
in my haunted brain.
“Do not follow
the VIIth Path.
Do not ever
dare to look back”.
Before the moon rised up that night
we left our castle in body and mind
seeking for something we had always dreamed:
the hidden way to Fairyland.
Over the hills and far away
only once we were able to stay.
“That might be the Wizard’s tree”
From that moment on, we just wanted to wait.
When the fourth thunder
stopped hitting the stones
a majestic being
came out of the floor.
“What are you searching
in your sacred quest?”
asked to us
the one in blue dressed.
“Arriving to Fairyland
is our precious dream.
Perhaps you could help us
find the ancient trees”.
When I finished my phrase
the Wizard quickly took
near the plant behind him
an old key from a book.
“With this key you’ll be able
to find those four trees.
Just follow the star above us,
for to that place it leads”.
The Wizard ceased to speak,
then he magically moved his cloak.
And was then when finally
the Fairyteller Master striked.
Out of the tree
behind the Wizard
a little daemon
flew up and spoke.
“I will be beside you
and you’ll feel no fear.
And if something happens
you can call on me”.
Then we left the forest.
Later we found four trees.
Calling on a devil’s name
we followed the one with tears.
“Thank you for releasing me
from a terrible dark spell”
“You are welcome, noble tree”,
that is all I dared to say.
Crossing lands
of fire and earth
we fought with gargoyles
and hardly slept.
And when we finally
arrived to Volcano
my beloved Gianelle
for us three had to pay.
Fire going up the mountains
acid flying ‘bove my head.
Daemon told us “hurry, hurry!”
and I quickly ran from there.
Those damned words
an angel once said
are ringing forever
in my deadly brain.
“Do not follow
the VIIth Path.
Do not ever
dare to look back”.
I just ran and ran
following the warning of so past time.
But Gianelle looked back
and she ceased to be in these dark lands.
I was in the end of the moving bridge.
Then I tried to see my only love.
Fire was behind me and Devil with me.
Instead of her I saw a statue of salt.
“Oh, no! My dear Gianelle!
What should I do now?
Should I cry?
Should I pray?”
I called the Devil’s name
and again he was there
speaking of nothing
and making me sweat.
“Neither God nor Mary Mother
will be helpful. Not your faith.
It’s the magic that’s inside you
what will take you far away.
You should not
waste your life
trying to serve
the King of lies.
You better try
to live beneath
fairies and elves.
Find the paths!”
“Oh, my daemon!
Should I believe you?
Can I trust
the words you speak?”
“The decision
is inside you”
“I shall trust your
words indeed”.
“¿Can you tell me if I will
ever see my dear love?”
“I shall speak only the truth…”
Quote the daemon: “Nevermore”.
Without the companion I had for years
with tears falling from my bright eyes
we left the fire, just Daemon and me.
Feeling inside me a hole in my heart.
A promise I made from that day onwards:
I would find the path that dreamed my love.
I would see the elves and fairies around me
even though it costed my life.
After forever of walking and walking…
of crossing valleys, rivers and lands…
We finally arrived to the promised place:
The Sacred Valley of the Seven Paths.
“Now, my Daemon,
I will need you
to speak my fate
for one more time.
What path to choose
to get to the Reign
that we all know
as Fairyland?”
“The answer is simple
my brave warrior.
What you must do
is follow your heart”.
Once again I decided to follow
what the Daemon had just advised.
But before I entered, he said something
“Now it’s when I leave you, this is the goodbye”.
“Why do you leave me
when we are so close?
Stay with me always
and I’ll suffer no more”
“That’s a thing that is totally impossible.
Return to home is what I must do.
Someone is calling my name in this moment.
I belong to darkness, don’t forget the truth”.
“Remember my wisdom
and remember my speaks.
Do not cry my leaving,
for I’ll be always with thy”.
I waved farewell to that helpful being
and entered the place the angel denied.
Following the hopes in my heart and aching
I crossed the gate of the VIIth Path.
The gate disappeared…
the sky turned black…
and then there was silence…
in the valley, in my heart…
When I crossed that line
I did not find
what sacred writings
had always said to us.
Not elves, not pretty fairies.
Neither unicorns nor seas.
All around my depressed person
snow was all that I could see.
And from that day ‘til the end of times
I realized this is hell of mine.
Walking in pain, missing my Gianelle.
Wishing we’d never left the castle that night.
I always wonder what was I doing
being lead by Daemon’s advice.
It was the darkness that reigns in humans.
It is the darkness of you and I.
Now I’m tired…
eternally walking.
Forever dying
and never stopping.
Those damned words
the angel once said
are ringing forever
in my dead brain.
“Do not follow
the VIIth Path.
Do not ever
dare to look back”.
If we had listened
what the angel said
we’d be living in happiness
and in comfort stay.
But we never listen
what annoy us:
she looked back…
I followed the Path…
Now I feel in sorrow
All around me is white
I’m following a blind way
beneath a sad sky.
The cursed words
the damned angel said
finally killed
my destroyed brain.
“Do not follow
the VIIth Path.
Do not ever
dare to look back”.
