It took them a while but they finally made a Yu-Gi-Oh card with a Castlevania character:

http://i.imgur.com/NjVJJmH.jpg

Ghostrick Alucard
Dark Zombie / Xyz / Effect
RK3 1800/1600
2 Level 3 monsters
Your opponent cannot target other "Ghostrick" monsters or face-down Defense Position monsters for an attack. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Set card your opponent controls; destroy that card. You can only use the effect of "Ghostrick Alucard" once per turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 other "Ghostrick" monster in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand.

Wait a minute you duel?

Also why is book of moon there? are these ghostrick monsters flip effects?

Just a matter of time before a Belmont card gotta be a light warrior maybe 2500 ATK level 5-6 (effect or normal no xyz maybe a ritual I have not seen any in a while)? sub weapons equip cards. Ahh the possibilities  ;D but their still no crystal beast  :P

Hmmm. what is the field spell just asking?

I don't duel but I have a friend who does. He said that Yu Gi Oh is easier than MTG so I might try to learn.

I am also looking forward for a Belmont card.

If the made a Belmont card my friend would lose badly since he is a zombie user(yet gestu fuma does this already but just with zombies). Belmonts + dark creatures =a major loss for them. My other friend would have a chance since he is light based with faries and stuff.

But yeah took them long enough they have mgs, nanobreaker, goemon, and fuma

That looks great, wonder if/when there'll be an English version? I don't play the game so...
Also that Jiang-Shi/Kyonshi card is really cute :) the quality of the artwork on these cards seems to have gone up a lot since the last time I saw them.

Thats cool, definitely collector worthy.Although ive never played Yu Gi Oh it looks very interesting! Personally i would have rather seen something like this in MtG. I think 99% of the CV universe could easily fit into the game. I mean half of those vamps in Magic would be awesome in a CV game.... heres a few, u tell me eh??

I think i saw a Yu Gi Oh game on PSN, gonna give that one a whirl sometime this weekend tho.

I really like this Alucard's design. It would be interesting if they would make an AU game with an artstyle like this. That would be really neat.

Castlevania didn't invent the character "Alucard" you know. Universal did, with the movie "Son of Dracula". The whole lot of those cards seem to just follow general classic horror monsters (ghost, Frankenstein monster, vampire looking fellow)
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

That card's costume/"hair"/style seem to be influenced by the Alucard in Castlevania though. And if they wanted to make it non-CV specific they could have just made it "Ghostrick Dracula". Though of course Drac and all of those other classic monsters have appeared in CV games to.

On a side-note though it's not really agreed upon that Universal invented Alucard as an independent character. I shit you not to this day there are debates on whether Lon Chaney Jr. was playing Dracula (simply using Alucard as an alias) or a descendant of Dracula in the film called "Son of Dracula". Most of those who think it was just Dracula believe that the title was chosen to emphasize the "Jr." in Lon Chaney Jr. (Lon Chaney Sr. was a legendary silent horror film star) and tie-in with the earlier "Dracula's Daughter" film.

Flame, you do know Yu-Gi-Oh and Castlevania are both property of Konami, right? I'm baffled you're even doubting the connection. And as Ratty pointed out, the design is obviously based on his game counter part and not the Universal version.

Although I probably won't add it to my deck this card will be a nice card to have regardless.

Also take note that Yu-Gi-Oh has cards that are directly taken from the Gradius game series.

So Yu-Gi-Oh clearly isn't afraid of using other Konami properties.
