Help on game mechanics

Hi evereybody.

Does anyone know where I can get the Aria of Sorrow formulae to calculate Soma's stats? I downloaded the AoS Walkthrough by Schlave (gamefaqs.com) wich contains some of the formulas, but not all of them (CON & INT, are missing, if i recall correctly). I'm particularly interested in the leveling and experience formulas, but still have no luck founding them. The Zach Keene's SOTN Walkthrough is very complete and great, but i like the game mechanics in AoS more.

Thanks.

Exp amounts between levels in SOTN were just done by entering in a list of amounts. I have never examined AOS, but it might use the same (which is what most games use).

EDIT: also if I remember right AOS is one of the ones where the exp for an enemy drops to 1 eventually right? If so, look up SOTN's in depth faq on gamefaqs's for info on this. It is very simple to do.  8)

AOS enemy exp doesn't drops to 1. No matter what lv you are, it's always the same for every enemy.

Even easier then. I never liked that feature in SOTN; made no sense to me considering how many better ways there were to prevent level grinding that would be much more effective.

I've always found the EXP system in SoTN rather strange. The only other CV game that uses the same system as SotN is HoD. The rest of the series tends to use the standard EXP system.

At SoTN and HoD, if you fight an enemy that's higher lv than you, you get up to X4 the value of his exp, but when you pass his lv, you get from 50% to 1% of his exp value, according to how much greater is your lv difference from his lv, something that in early lvs is good, but later frustrating, since it's making it impossible by normal means to reach the max lv. Something that i dislike.

I didn't know that. Getting +1 EXP is weird, but always gaining the same amount of EXP seems a little unbalanced to me. I've just found the the leveling chart for Soma here:

The same chart, but as an image:

Thanks, guys.

It's not unbalanced, since for the last lvs you need huge amounts of exp, while the most exp you can get even with boosts is around 4000 for AoS. This means after lv 60 you need around 15-20 minutes per lv up, so it will be awhile before you reach max lv. You are gonna need around 13 hours of non stop playing after lv 60 to get to the max lv. Not the most enjoyable thing to do, so imagine if enemies they were dropping the amount of exp you can gain, it would take over a month of non stop playing to reach max lv.

Perfect! I want to dissuade the user from reaching max level. I have grinded and become obsessed with getting the max level in most of the CV games i have played, and in some point i have found myself playing mechanically and with no puprpose, but to get to the max lvl.  I wanna try something different this time. Reaching the max level still will be possible indeed, but compulsive levelers have to realize it won't be easy, so they better focus on gameplay.

I'm not pretending to be so miserly to give +1 EXP, but maybe ginving 20% ~ 30% of the listed experience will be fair for my plans.

What a wonderful night to have a curse.
