Topic: Did anyone win the CV3 contest?

Y'know, the trip to "Dracula's hometown". Just curious if anyone actually won it and what it was like.

I've looked for information about that myself.  Nobody seems to have it.  Various people have e-mailed Konami and not received any concrete information.  Either they get no response or get told that nobody has that information anymore. 

Although I did see one person on a forum once go, "Oh yeah.  I kid I went to school with way back when won that.  I forget his name,"  but I have the feeling he was just saying that. 

Personally, I'm betting that due to some rather major political upheaval and unrest in Romania at the time, the contest was quietly cancelled.

Probably so, but what a shame. It would be a neat piece of Castlevania trivia to know who won it if anyone did. The contest blurb is now a reminder of a simpler bygone time in the game industry now anyway, whether there was a winner or not.

"Major political upheaval" haha possibly having to do with the aftermath of the slay of Romania's modern-day Dracula, Ceausescu.
