Topic: Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn beta phase 3 and 4

Oh yea been playing it, it's really shaping up to be the greatest in the franchise and best mmorpg since FFXI Online.   
It has the right mix of traditional and modern mmorpg formulas. So it's accessible yet still has plenty of depth, massiveness
and atmosphere.

FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn - A Tour of Eorzea, Part 3

The PS3 version surprisingly looks and runs better than the videos show, did a FATE against a boss/Notorious Monster and even with explosive effects everywhere and lots of players using their skills, there wasn't any game breaking lag or framerate drops. (they should add more UI/HUD options.)  Got up to level 20, and the story is really amazing!! Parties are fun too, the dungeons have a fair degree of
challenge to its boss fights.  Still haven't mapped out all the beta zones.   The cities are extremely incredible!  And the music is the best in the series since, ever!!   They have the right people working on this.

it's really shaping up to be the greatest in the franchise

ppl been saying "this is gonna be the best FF yet" everytime a new FF game is about to be released. I remember when everyone on the internet was proclaiming XIII as the "FF to end all FFs" since it looked so mind-blowing haha

personally I think they should've just made the MMORPG games a sub-series of FF & left the numerical system out of it, as it tarnishes the brand as a whole. But that's just my opinion.


meanwhile FFVI has yet to receive a true remake. sure there's been re-releases here & there, but almost everyone wants a truly enhanced HD remake
FFT (the original PS-X version, don't care for the spin-offs, sequels, etc.) is my ideal Final Fantasy ::goes back to playing Crisis Core::
