They need to make the music memorable. LoS music was terrible at that, I don't really remember a music from the game at all... it's mostly atmospheric, melancolic... =/

You didn't enjoy BatmanBelmont's Theme? Excellent track, easily my fav from LoS and I hope it returns in LoS2 remixed or otherwise

Castlevania Lords of Shadow Music - Belmont's Theme

My most played song on my ipod.

It helps me study for tests. It makes me feel like I'm deciphering the da vinci code

It's good, but it isn't really memorable for me. And it's not because I didn't listened to it enough times, it's simply made to be that way. Same with other musics that I like in the soundtrack (like Final Confrotation or VK Music Box)... but for most part... meh. =/

But they set the right tone while playing the game, though. It's just not my kind of music at all.

You aren't the only one. I love HoD's clocktower theme. It's so deliciously haunting.

The thing about Harmony's soundtrack, aside chiptune compression, is that the composer took to heart the tittle of the game, which is pretty excellent as an idea, but combined to the chiptune thing, was a recipe for a disaster. As you may or may not know, dissonance is the sound of various notes that don't.. concur with each other, like this CAUTION: MOST ATONAL DISSONANT SOUNDS - wierd music science
The composer actually inserted dissonant harmonies to the soundtrack, which is itself good, but the effect harms the whole qualo¿ity when meeting those terrible 8bit sounds.

I hate it. It... sucks... even the compositions are really not that good, save for one or two songs. Doesn't help that the game was really sub-par.

True I remember when my teacher went through it in class I remember one of the songs in class there was one part in it that some of the notes on the leger line sounded way off but it was correct thus dissonance I'll probably learn more about it in piano 2

I've grown to like HoD's soundtrack. It's different.

Although my brother and I love the Luminous Caverns track because it's one of those "so bad it's good" pieces.

I am torn about this. On the one hand as much as I actually enjoy the music in Lord of Shadows, I do miss the music of the classic Castlevania which evokes the series. However I would not be happy if they just included the music as way just to please fans. It has to fit Lord of Shadow 2 and can't be like that annoying fan service of putting Vampire killer in Music box Level ugh. If they can rework and put Castlevania themes in the game effectively then they should do it but they shouldn't do it as way to please us and create a bastardized version of our beloved songs that makes it lose its impact.
