I noticed there wasn't a topic about this, at least recently, and there's some things I want to say about this, and see what other users' opinions are.

* The most important: Is it my twisted mind, or there's something hidden between Alucard and Lyudmil?
I mean, there's all kind of hints to this, just like in Harmony of Dissonance, but maybe it's just me.

* It really surprised how original Maria's voice was. Here she received a femme fatale acting voice, and I always thought it didn't match the character really well. Now I see why...

* Anyone else found those 2 random warriors to be completely irritating useless characters just put there for some humour release?
The comic release didn't work on me, though.

* And finally: Woudn't it be nice to have a game about this?
Come on, Konami! Do something for once!

That's all I can say without spoilers. I recommend this for any Castlevania fan, especially if they are into anime.

It's... probably not just you. The Alucard/Lyudmil thing sounded like it was meant to appeal to that particular fanbase. Even if it wasn't, it sure sounded that way.  :-\

Cyril and Alexis were unneccessary foils to Richter and the potion subplot involving them was weird.

And I think we all speculated NOR would be a lead-in to the cancelled PS3/360 game. Still kills me that we'll probably never see that.

I've thought about making a fangame of this at some point, but it starts to become a little difficult when you realize that it would be super short and with only some battles if you follow this story.

To do a game about this someone would need to add a lot of things to it and it would need to be in Classicvania style, since they show few areas it could become boring or pointless to explore them again and again in a Metroidvania style.

But yeah, I can be wrong lol

Now that I know, it kills me too to think that the cancelled Alucard game was going to be about this...

If we aren't going to have it from Konami, I would be glad if Lely makes the game  ;)

IMO this Alucard game would be a sequel of this novel, since they needed to show why a Belmont cant use the whip until 1999 I think they pretended to use this game as a explanation.

About the game, who knows lol
I've dreamed about making so many types of games and look at how many I have made: 0.
Sometimes I feel like a "database", since I can remember and research information, but never use them for me, only share :-/

If you look at one of my first thread you will have a example:
http://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/index.php/topic,5284.msg113513.html#msg113513

Well, only counting things that happened here:

I've started helping Dalles with his fangame, my first CV engine was being made with his game in mind, it would be a Castlevania and Chaos Legion crossover, but then my HDD died.

I've tried helping Esco with sprite-editing/polishing, but lroblems of my life made me loss interest, also lack of time. I think I even was reaching my limits at the time, it was really difficult to me to bring a HoD boss to SotN quality.

I've said that I would try to translate a CV magazine article from spanish (I think it was from MoF at the time) months ago but forgot about that too.

Now Im trying to translate Lecarde Chronicles's script in time, since I remembered of it only today Im doing it super fast, but with quality in mind.

So yeah, dont expect great things from me, I've failed many times to receive this luxury.

1. There is a hint.... oh wait, I belong to that fanbase, so I would definitely see a hint. Konami knows how to appeal to the female fanbase. hehehe.  ;) Must have been Kuroshitsuji's fault too.

2. The only voice I never liked was Maria's. Sorry about that. I am too busy fangirling on the male voice actors' voices.

3. I find them important to the plot. They are annoying, but that characterization is very typical for upstarts in the anime/radio drama world.

4. Nope, not a game. Though I would love to see an incubus in a CV game.

1 - Me too  ;)
2 - I kinda fancy that kind of girl, but I'm more into intellectual or wild gothic, like Charlotte or Carmilla.
3 - In anime yes, it felt rare in CV, but I'm OK with that.
4 - Why not? It's more fun! But I wanted to see the Alucard X Lyudmil relationship come to the end I was expecting.

Castlevania: Nocturne of Sausage Fest.

Yep... nope, nope, nope.
Haha! It's not like that, to be honest.
It's all very artsy and subtle, with a lot of beauty.
If you didn't listen to it, just picture Alucard and Juste giving romantic hints to each other while Maria steps in their way, and nothing else.

Alucard: Lyudmil?

Lyudmil: Sorry for waking you up. I guessed Master Alucard would be here having a nice nap in the breeze.

Alucard: You’ve followed me outside the castle… if they find out, you will be punished.

Lyudmil: Master Alucard is the only one who can command me. No matter what happens, I will not leave your side.

Alucard: Go ahead.

Lyudmil: May I humbly ask, why did you come to this grassland?

Alucard: This place appeared in my mother’s diary. Apparently she was fond of these white flowers.

Lyudmil: I see… these flowers are indeed wonderful.

Alucard: Be careful or you’ll step on them.

Lyudmil: By the way, do you know what kind of festival these flowers are associated with?

Alucard: ...festival?

Lyudmil: Once a year, the youths would make a garland with these flowers and present them to young girls to express their love.

Alucard: This wasn’t mentioned in Mother’s diary…

Lyudmil: Since we are here, why not let me teach you how to make a garland.

Alucard: No need.

Lyudmil: I see… look, from here, we can see the village we used to live in.

Alucard: Do you want to go there?

Lyudmil: No, if I go back, I will be condemned as a demon. There’s nowhere else I can go but to follow you.

Alucard: Lyudmil… humans will return to dust eventually, but I will live on forever. Compared to eternity, my time with you is short…

Lyudmil: Master Alucard…

Oh god... nope nope nope nope nope nope

The wholly thing is completely subpar. Seriously. =/

Is Esco still working on that? It feels like he's been working on that game for like, 10 years. xD

Btw, what IS Nocturne of Recollection? O_o

There, you will finally learn what really happened between the leads, because there was no game explaining it.
That's how randomly Konami behaves about CV.
But it's a nice experience.
