Yes, I know how to play it because of Umineko and I remember your Food Game Thread, why we stopped?

The thread fell into the abyss of nothingness. Lol. People are no longer replying and the thread died.

And it will be further divided if they keep screwing it.
Sometimes I don't even want to imagine what the next game will be.

Well, that happens.
We just have to cross our fingers and wish for the best.

I'm not sure why this thread got revived, but whatever.

Regarding the radio drama, did anyone also think some of the voice acting was pretty bad? They're are a couple of scenes with really bad overacting, mainly Alucard's voice actor. I noticed because before I listened I played SotN, and the Japanese voices in it are excellent, so I was suprised by the drop in quality.

FYI, the Radio Chronicles is different from the Radio Drama.
Radio Chronicles: voice actors of the drama talking random stuff with a spattering of Castlevania, and IGA guest stars in some episodes.
Radio Drama: the actual drama tale that takes place after SOTN.

I'm not sure why this thread got revived, but whatever.

I think darkmanx got confused with the 2. He just got the radio chronicles cd but not the radio drama cd, unless he has it too.

The voice acting is not really bad. They got really famous voice actors to play the parts.
The thing that might have caught you off-guard is the voice difference. They used a different VA for the SOTN game vs the drama. In the game Alucard was voiced by Ryōtarō Okiayu who has a much deeper vocal range than the drama Alucard by Mamoru Miyano who is more famous for his falsetto and portrayal of younger characters. If I'm not mistaken, he also voiced Alucard in Judgment, so that may be the reason why his voice is younger sounding.
Therefore, blame the casting director and the director of the drama but not the VAs, they are just doing their jobs. Yeah, I'm sympathetic towards the VAs cause they always get the blame when in fact they are just following orders from the director. hehe.

Yeah, the actors were perfectly fine for the most part, just a couple of them did a bad job during certain scenes. Particulary the scene where Alucard was being tortured and the voice actor of Magnus hamming it up near the end. Probably bad directing, like you said.

I also noticed they changed Maria's voice and personality, which is now more remiscent of her Rondo incarnation, in contrast to her more mature voice and demeanor in SotN. Seems like they changed their minds about the changes SotN made.

I actually liked the hammy portion. Ahahaha! Hams always reminds me of Norio Wakamoto.

Yeah, they might have changed their minds, in that case, there's IGA to blame. But another possibility is that they are trying to appeal to the taste of the current drama cd fans.
