Topic: What Happened to Richiter? Spoilers on CV POR

In Castlevania POR when you fight with Richiter *Whip's Memory* what happened to the REAL or ORIGINAL Richiter? and also Maria? What are they doing,why,where?

Unless i've forgot some storyline, i think they just appear randomly in POR?

Richter was the last Belmont to have the whip before J so that's why he's the "Whip's Memory"! Richter fell under Shaft's spell, & this somehow corrupted the Belmont's power to use the whip. Sometime after the Morris' take control of it.

All we know is that something caused the Belmonts to become unworthy of wielding the whip until 1999.  That it was specifically Shaft's spellbinding of Richter is just conjecture at this point.

Yes, it may or may not be related to Shaft's control of Richter. IGA said it was something, more like an "event" that he'll come back to sometime in the future. All we know is that the point where the Belmont's loose control of the whip is sometime after SotN and before Stoker's Dracula(if I'm lead to believe Quincy, in CV form, wields the VK). We know for a fact that Ricther's child doesn't wield the VK, or their memory would be the one represented. I would guess this even occurs sometime in late 18th century or early 19th century.

And Trevor. Many of us would like to believe he survived Isaac's stabbing. He did father children with Sypha, but whether he started before or after CoD, it's unknown. From the official timeline, his children(or their children) will marry into the Morris family, which will forge the Belmont/Morris bloodlink. That's important for later(the event I noted above).

I don't think Richter's possession would be what caused the loss of the whip. I mean, let's look back. Soleil had the exact same thing happen to him, except he was possessed by Dracula himself, not a ghost of a dead minion.

Threads like this are the type of threads that get me bitched at for bashing Iga. However, who gives a fuck? I'm going to continue doing so. I can't stand his storytelling. I'm not even going to bitch about how he turned Dracula into a heroic Japanese teenager from the future at this time because, let's face it, I'll be here for weeks, however, I'm going to bitch at some of the points already stated above. Why must he downgrade all of the Belmonts? Why must he make all of these comments in interviews, such as "something happened to the Belmonts so now they can't use the Vampire Killer," instead of just telling us what happened in a game? How the hell are the average fans, who don't go around reading every Iga interview, supposed to know this? How is it he can introduce characters in a game without giving us any info on them, for i.e. Saint Germain. What was the point of even adding him? He didn't advance the story. Shit, he was a time traveler. All he had to do to stop Death was either travel back to a certain time to do so or inform Hector what was really going on. Not mentioning what happened to Trevor at the end of CoD really pisses me off. There is just so much wasted potential while Iga is in charge. When will the higher ups in Konami come to their senses and get rid of him?

Thomas, can't you just, like, "not care"? Somethings are very easy to ignore. Stories in CV, in GENERAL, can be ignored altogether. I mean, even before IGA, stories haven't been CV's strong point. I always say, you want stories, you're playing the wrong genre. Play Final Fantasy, or Xenosaga. DON'T play CV, IGA's CV or those before him.

It was already mentioned by DragonSlayr81 that Trevor may have done the magic dance with Sypha before CoD.  So it is possible that Trevor could have died...

I agree, simon was cursed too and the whip was cool with it, I think as long as a belmont weilds it it will unleash it's true power. Jon has problems cuz his blood is very diluted and the whip doesn't recognize him as a belmont.
