That's cool. I don't have a Wii U but this is another reason why I could get one at some point.

Sounds cool if implemented right. I'd like to see a variety of viewing options: TV for top screen, GamePad for touch screen; top and bottom screen on the TV with the touch screen mirrored on the GamePad; etc.

And the games had better be under $10 or I'll rage.

They'll have no choice but to have said options cause some DS games require both screens simultaneously to play the game. Contra 4 is a strong example of this.

Religion is Man's flawed interpretation of Spirituality given back to humanity..."

Fo' sho'. I just don't want it to be so limited as having both screens play exclusively on the GamePad (as it's sounding right now). For games where the touch screen is basically a menu, I'd like to be playing the top screen full screen on the TV (or as large as possible without it looking like total doody); and for dual-screen-action games like Contra 4 and Sonic Rush, I'd like to play that on the TV as well.

If they're smart and willing to put a modicum of effort into it, they should give them several display options. Given the relatively low resolution of DS they should be able to display games comfortably on both the gamepad and the tv and any combination there of including multiple options for each.

Whatever the case it is indeed about damn time they offered these. However they seriously need to consider a lower price point for the whole virtual console thing in general. 5$ for a NES game and 8 for a SNES game is a bit of a tall order considering the total lack of portability. Not to mention varying price pints based on content. I could see paying 5$ for Final Fantasy or Dragon Warrior, but the same price for Mario Bros.? To quote David Duchovny in the PS2 X-files game, "Now that's just bullshit."

Sweet, although I still don't plan on getting a Wii-U anytime soon.  But it would be really cool if they would have a sort of TATE mode (which rotates the picture 90 degrees) for anybody who has a swivel-based TV.  Then you wouldn't be wasting 50% of your TV screen space.

I don't think you'd lose much screen space even if you put the two "screens" side by side.
